If you’ve ever wondered what happened to the viral Popeyes meme kid from Vine, look no further.

We’re often left pondering the fates of the people who dedicated six seconds of their lives to making us chuckle, without ever really getting answers.

For one kid, it all began on the now defunct video sharing app Vine on 21 August 2013. A user called TheRealSnoopy published a video titled “Terio At Popeyes” which received over 19 million loops, 670,000 likes and 591,000 revines in under seven years, per Knowyourmeme.com.

The guy in the video tells his front-facing camera: “Yo, this n---- Terio at Popeyes,” before shifting to the back camera and capturing Collin side-glancing the man in response.

The video soon spread on Twitter, Reddit and Instagram with a variety of funny and relatable scenarios attached.

One hilarious meme has the caption: “When I see my teacher at a store.”

We’ve all been there.

Well, the little boy from the hilarious clip and the memes that followed has been found and he has since swapped his viral fame for a college football career.

Lake Erie College freshman offensive lineman Dieunerst Collin is the child in the yellow t-shirt who became internet famous in 2013.

He’s all grown up now, with a height of 6’1” and weighing 330 pounds. Collin has become a successful athlete and won a state championship in 2021 with East Orange Campus high school in New Jersey.

He’s not shying away from his internet fame either. He actually wants the fried chicken restaurant to strike a deal with him to use his name, image and likeness.

Collin shared his own meme on Instagram and urged his followers to share it in a bid to get a Popeyes deal.

He wrote: “I NEED EVERYONE TO REPOST THIS AND TAG @popeyes I JUST WANNA TALK BUSINESS.”

He superimposed a tweet onto a picture of himself as a child and winning a state championship. “From Popeyes to State Champion!! East Orange #StateChamps” the tweet said.

Collins’ followers are now spamming the comments by mentioning the official @popeyes Instagram account.

One person said: “Bro just wanna snack.”

Another commenter wrote: “You have come full circle! You are the champ! Champ.

An Instagram user penned: “Matter fact just pull up to Popeyes headquarters and talk business.”

While someone else tagged Popeyes and wrote: “Cut the check. Quit playing.”

Give this man a deal!
