The music streaming wars are getting into full effect with some people left stunned by a difference between Spotify and Apple Music.

Over the last couple decades in the tech-sphere we have had the phone wars, the games console wars and now, the music streaming wars.

Where do you choose to listen to your music? YouTube Music? Spotify? Apple Music? Tidal? Soundcloud?

Well, whatever you choose there are likely pros and cons which you have to weigh up.

But some people on social media are insisting people should switch over from Spotify to Apple Music due to a 'major difference' between the two platforms.

Writing on Twitter, one new user wrote: “Just got an apple music subscription and I'm hearing sounds I’ve never before bro spotify what the f***.”

“Apple music has the best sound quality ever,” added another.

“Try playing Apple Music with airpods/headphones on an iPad, thank me later. Apple Music is superiour! Spotify users SWEAR their sound quality is better. LIES!” a third wrote.

Now while this could simply be as straightforward as ‘I use it, therefore it is better’, Apple does boast about having the ‘highest audio quality.’

On the Apple website the company has a whole page dedicated to telling users just how good the quality of its streaming platform apparently is.

It reads: “Apple Music delivers an unparalleled listening experience that’s defined by the highest standards of audio quality.

“We've developed our own implementation of AAC (Advanced Audio Codec) that delivers audio that’s virtually indistinguishable from the original studio recording.”

It continued: “We've also introduced Apple Digital Masters to deliver the highest-quality recordings. And now, we’re offering Apple Music subscribers the additional option to access our entire catalogue encoded using lossless audio compression – at no extra cost.”

So this difference does seem to be winning over some fans and turning them into Apple Music die-hards. However, not everyone is quite convinced.

One user commented on the post: “Apple Music offers the best sound quality on Apple devices ONLY. However, if you're using a non-Apple device, there's no need to switch from Spotify to Apple Music."

“idk both platforms have the exact same sound to me,” commented another.

“Are you the music connoisseur? Spotify is the GOAT. The music algo and UI is just too much to let go for some s*** that I probably can't even tell,” wrote another.

I guess the never-ending music streaming wars will continue on.
