A model who ditched her life within the Mormon church to pursue an OnlyFans career has explained her drastic career change.
Throughout her childhood, Kit Barrus attended church for roughly 20 hours per week and it became a huge part of her life - but she started to question her beliefs.
During her teenager years, Kit would be involved in practices such as baptisms for the dead, and later attended Girls Camp when she was 15, a common occurrence for Mormon girls.
However, her relationship with her parents was deteriorating at this point as she watched pornography for the first time at the age of 14. She also lost her virginity at the age of 15.

"When my parents found out about this, everything blew up," Kit told Metro. "They pulled me out of school and sent me to Idaho to live with my grandparents, after about six months of house arrest. I was miserable."

After leaving the family home for college, Kit returned only to be kicked out of her home once more after her dad found a single edible and a vibrator in her room.
She ultimately found a room to rent and got a job at a law firm working 9-5, but her career took an unexpected turn after a friend suggested she do OnlyFans.
Following financial struggles and initial hesitation to go into the adult-content space, Kit created an OnlyFans account in 2022 and made a whopping $10,000 in her first month.
It's safe to say she was sold on the idea, with her side hustle funding her math PhD.
She describes her content as 'silly but fun', creating tongue-in-cheek videos like dressing as a dragon and having sex with a female knight.
"I don’t make any extreme content or engage in sex challenges, and I actually credit my Mormon upbringing for that," Kit explained. "This industry can really push your boundaries.

"A lot of people fall into the trap of doing more and more extreme things because it sells well, but growing up Mormon and having everybody tell me what my values should be, then inherently disagreeing with that, has made me very independent when examining what I want to do."
Kit is asked by men to make NSFW content on a regular basis, but no amount of money will turn her head into that sector of the industry.
"You’re like, 'I could make £100,000 [$140,000] if I just do this one thing', but that’s when you sell a part of yourself," she added
"I have strength in my convictions after my childhood, I’ve been inoculated."
Despite all the disagreements she's had with her parents, Kit says she's 'quite close' to her mother and father nowadays.
