A man who claims to have ‘hypersexuality’ answered a barrage of questions that they got on social media.

Every now and again, users on social media share something rather interesting about themselves health wise.

Which makes a whole lot of sense, while we might be aware of a lot of conditions and diseases, chances are you don’t actually know someone with some of the more rare or odd conditions that you have heard of.

In fact, one 22-year-old man, held an ask me anything on Reddit after saying that he had been medically confirmed to have hypersexuality.

The post, shared by magic_linc08, read: “This is something I’ve been medically determined to have, not just based on my own assumptions. I also have mild autism and they definitely interact in some strange ways.

“I never had any associated trauma that triggered this, it’s just been constant since puberty. My autism maybe contributes but they don’t really know.”

According to the Cleveland Clinic hypersexuality ‘refers to excessive sexual thoughts, desires, urges or behaviors that can’t be controlled and cause distress and harm to your relationships, finances and other aspects of your life'.

They added: “Sexual addiction is also called hypersexuality, compulsive sexual behavior and other names. Treatments include medications, psychotherapy and self-help support groups.”

The user explained at length the many symptoms they suffer with and how they manage it, especially while being in a relationship.

They said: “I masturbate all other times I feel sexual urges. But my partner really helps steer me away from porn and other crap, I just focus on him alone sexually.

“With mine it’s like an extreme compulsion toward sex/sexual desire. I get permanent erections until I deal with it, along with associated anxiety and sweating.

“I have to jerk off compulsively several times a day to relieve the urges. It’s very difficult to control and I have to duck into restrooms throughout the day to satiate it.”

They also noted that there isn’t any particular trigger to their sexual urges but when they arrive they ‘dominate their brain’ until they are relieved.

The Reddit user also noted that their hypersexuality manifests through their need for very intense sex and with their partner they have sex for an hour start to finish.

When it came to the issues that arise as a result of the condition, they joked that one of the most frustrating was the ‘post-nut clarity’ that they go through multiple times a day due to relieving themselves repeatedly.
