DoorDash driver penalized after refusing to deliver order to nudist customer

The customer told the DoorDasher that they'd answer the door naked

A DoorDasher says she was 'punished' for not wanting to deliver to a naked customer.

The delivery driver took to social media in recent days to discuss the ordeal that saw her faced with a food order from a nudist.

Giving the DoorDasher a heads up, they messaged: "Just to let you know, I am a nudist and WILL be answering the door nude."

It's a hard pass from me.

It was a hard pass from the DoorDash driver too, who ultimately decided to cancel the order because she didn't fancy seeing the male customer's manhood.

While many would argue that this was a fair reason, the unnamed driver revealed that she was 'penalized' for the cancellation.

Taking to Reddit, she explained: "A couple of hours ago, I got an offer to drive a little over 8 miles for $10.50. I normally wouldn't accept this offer but it was towards the end of my dash and it would bring me closer to home than I currently was so I decided to go for it.

"When I got to the restaurant, the food wasn't ready yet so I took a seat and started scrolling through twitter. I got a message from the customer saying 'Just to let you know, I am a nudist and WILL be answering the door nude.' I responded with 'Okay, I will be canceling then' and went out to my car to call support."

The DoorDasher explained to support that she wanted to be unassigned to the delivery without it affecting her completion rate, but they didn't find it to be a valid reason.

"They basically told me that it wasn't a good enough reason and if I unassign, my completion rate will go down and I won't be paid anything," she continued to explain.

"I was like 'Alright, fine. If that's what needs to be done for me to not see a stranger's d*ck, then go ahead and punish me.' and they just said 'Great, I will unassign you! You should start getting offers again' and hung up."

The Redditor went on to pose the question of if it was 'f***ed up' for 'not being comfortable delivering food to someone you don't know who has told you they will be naked upon arrival' as she urged nudists to 'have the courtesy to put on a robe or just select leave at my door' when ordering takeout.

Many fellow Redditors were in agreement that she shouldn't have been penalized for the ordeal as they would also feel uncomfortable doing the delivery.

Even a nudist labelled it as 'wrong'. They wrote: "I absolutely. 100%. Would never EVER subject someone to my naked body without their consent. This is WRONG.

"This was not a nudist. This was a creepy, CREEPY, individual that just wanted a stranger to see this naked without consent to get their rocks off."
