Getting to go on a cruise ship would likely be a wonderful once in a lifetime opportunity for people all over the world.

Being able to relax while also seeing the sights and traveling the world, what is not to love.

Well after seeing a view of what lurks beneath the surface of the ocean, some people are less keen.

Greek photographer Odysseas Froilan once got curious about what was going on beneath the surface and decided to lower his GoPro into the water to get a rare look beneath the vessel. Looking at the footage, a lot of people are wishing he hadn't.

Things started off nice and tame as the footage revealed a school of fish happily going about their lives, even if they were slightly perplexed at the foreign object that had dropped into their home.

However, when night fell, things took a turn.

Out of nowhere, sharks began to come into view of the GoPro camera, with one quickly darting into the light before swimming off quickly.

Moments later, a huge shark approached from the shadows.

After watching the clip, one viewer wrote: “The way I went from kicking my feet in the air at the cute fishies and thinking ‘maybe the ocean isn’t so scary after all’ in the day footage to blankly staring, terrified, at the night footage, further confirming my intense fear of the ocean."

Another added: “This was way more interesting than I thought it would be. Man there’s something primally terrifying about seeing a shark emerge from the darkness like that."

“For years I wondered why there were pools on a cruise ship when there was this great big body of water to swim in. It’s videos like this that make me realize the importance of swimming in chlorine water,” wrote a third.

Another viewer urged anyone who might be taking a cruise any time soon to avoid 'taking a bet' and jumping into the ocean at night.

They wrote: “I would just like to point out the difference in marine life depending on the time of day [ ...] most sharks are nocturnal hunters and they are basically just waiting for you."
