Last year, Taylor Swift was named the ‘biggest celebrity CO2 polluter’ - a title she looks to take for a second year running after various trips to see her Kansas City beau, Travis Kelce.

Most of us would do anything for love, and Tay-Tay is clearly no exception.

Loved up Swift is keeping her romance alive by taking as many flights as she can fit in her schedule to see her new man.

It’s still up for debate how long the pair of been dating, with fans believing the couple’s first date was her attending one of his games with his mother back in September of this year.

Swift cleared up the rumour of the timeline calling it ‘psychotic’, telling TIME Magazine: “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.

"I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

Up to now, Swift has been flying out to spend quality time with the Kansas Chief’s tight-end, taking 12 journeys to be with him this year - which may be great for the relationship, but a detriment environmentally.

The journeys so far have used up 12,622 gallons of jet fuel, which is calculated to be worth a whopping $70,779.

Based on statistics taken from Instagram account ‘Taylor’s Swifts Jets’ – the singer songwriter’s flights have now produced 138 tons of co2 emissions to date.

According to the Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator, this is the equivalent of energy used by 17 houses in one year, or the electricity use of 26.9 homes for one year,

To repair the environmental damage caused, 2,282 trees would have to be planted and flourish for 10 years in order to restore the balance.

In a statement to UNILAD, a spokesperson on behalf of Swift said: "Before the tour kicked off in March of 2023, Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits needed to offset all tour travel.

"The excess credits means Taylor could have accounted for more than enough to cover her latest romance springing up in the middle of her sell-out tour, with her trips to support Kelce upping her carbon emissions alongside her planned tour travels."

As the whirlwind romance continues, Swift, 34, takes flights to Kansas City and New York to visit Kelce, as well as flights dotted around the world as she continues her monster 'Era’s Tour’, in which she is scheduled to play 151 shows across 5 continents.

Her longest flight to date was a trip flying from Sao Paulo to Brazil, with the final stop being Kansas City.

The journey used 4,151 gallons of fuel, which is believed to be worth a nauseating $23,250.
