Pirates Of The Caribbean Ship Passes By Depp/Heard Courthouse As Jury Deliberates

While the jury deliberated over the famous Depp/Heard trial, a Pirates Of The Caribbean ship sailed past the courthouse

Amidst all the drama surrounding Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's trial, a Pirates of the Caribbean 'ship' has just sailed past the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia.

The cruise ship in question is a huge flatbed truck with a Pirates of the Caribbean-style boat design placed on top.

Fitted with all the gear - including decking, rope, waves and even a pirate at the helm - the scene was slightly incongruous to the otherwise standard-looking Virginia courthouse earlier today (31 May).

Seeing the actor's face enlarged on a larger-than-life truck as it drove past the exact building where Depp will hear the outcome of the trial is a fairly peculiar sight indeed.

While it is currently unknown who exactly was behind the 'ship's' appearance, it's clear it was organised by some rather dedicated fans and supporters of the actor.

The bizarre spectacle at the Fairfax County Courthouse follows weeks of testimony from both Depp and his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

The trial started after Depp sued Heard for $50 million (£38.2 million) in a defamation lawsuit over claims of abuse the actress made back in 2018.

Heard then countersued the actor, seeking $100 million (£79.4 million) in compensation.

Alongside both of the pair's legal teams, many other notable faces came to the stand to issue their testimony, including the likes of supermodel Kate Moss.

Additionally, among many other professionals who came to the stand, an orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Robert Gilbert, testified that Heard's description of how Depp injured his finger was 'highly unlikely'.

This comes after Depp made a surprise appearance at a gig in Sheffield, alongside musician Jeff Beck, only two days after the jury began their deliberations over the much-anticipated trial verdict.

Appearing twice now, both at a concert in Sheffield and at London's Royal Albert Hall, Depp supported Beck with his guitar and vocals.

Many concert-attendees were understandably shocked to see the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star appear on stage, especially following the controversial court case.

One Beck fan admitted to being 'pretty shocked' to see the actor at the London show.

"I have always been a massive fan of his. My other half took me to this gig just to see Jeff Beck, I had no idea Johnny would be playing. It was brilliant, such a fantastic night in general… a special mention to the drummer girl, she was absolutely amazing (and) Johnny Depp smashed it," the fan told Sky News.
