Zendaya reveals how fame helped her get out of speeding ticket with Tom Holland

The Euphoria star clearly isn't afraid to admit the perks of fame!

There's no denying that being famous certainly has its perks, and this is something Hollywood power couple Zendaya and Tom Holland are definitely aware of.

While doing normal day-to-day things like going to the mall or catching a movie is pretty much impossible without being mobbed by hordes of fans, being rich and famous does come with its upsides.

Aside from the very comfortable paychecks and the luxurious lifestyle, being loved worldwide by millions of fans can seemingly get you out of some prickly spots.

And this is something Zendaya and Tom Holland can vouch for after a recent experience on the roads.

The famous pair, who met in 2016 when starring in Spider-Man: Homecoming together, have firmly cemented themselves as one of Hollywood's most loved couples.

They've always kept things fairly private, though, with Holland telling GQ back in 2021: "Loving someone is a sacred thing and a special thing and something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other."

Despite recently batting off rumours of a break-up following the Euphoria star un-following her beau on Instagram, they seem to be stronger than ever - so much so, that Zendaya was happy to speak about her other half during a recent chat with Jimmy Kimmel.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday to promote her recent movie Challengers, which debuts in cinemas on 26 April, Zendaya was asked by the talk show host if she had ever been pulled over for speeding.

While confirming she has never received a speeding ticket, she admitted she's 'been close'.

"Tom and I were rushing to a spin class … with my mother," the actress elaborated. "I was not going to do the spin class. He was going to do the spin class ’cause I don’t do that.

"But we were going a little fast ’cause we were running late."

She went on: "They [police] recognized that he was Spider-Man, and errr... we were fine! We got a warning and everything was okay."

It turns out being a superhero can save you a few bucks!

This hilarious revelation comes after Zendaya gave a rare insight into her relationship with Holland.

Speaking to British Vogue in the recently released May issue, the actress explained how her amplification as one of Hollywood’s biggest stars has applied added pressure to both her working and personal life.

“When I was younger there was less pressure,” Zendaya noted. “I got to get into a zone of being that part of myself, which is definitely not a thousand percent natural. She gets rusty.”

She then spoke about her and Holland's lack of public privacy, saying she’s somewhat come to terms with the impact fame has had on her life.

“You just kind of get used to the fact that, ‘Oh, I’m also one of these art pieces you’re going to take a picture of',” Zendaya said candidly.

“I just gotta be totally cool with it and just live my life.”
