Travis Kelce drops major hint on Taylor Swift's future as fans praise NFL star

Taylor Swift fans have praised Travis Kelce as he gave an update on the singer's future in a new interview.

The NFL star and global music icon have been making headlines since their high-profile romance began in July 2023.

Kelce had attended Swift's Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas when he'd planned to give her his contact information via a friendship bracelet.

But when that didn't work out, a mutual friend connected the pair and the rest, well, is history.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has been incredibly supportive of Swift, garnering love and respect from her loyal fanbase - which, let's be honest, is no mean feat.

Kelce even shocked audiences when he appeared on-stage for a segment of The Tortured Poet's Department during Swift's Wembley Stadium, London, show last summer.

All the while, avid Taylor Swift fans have been eagerly awaiting for the star to confirm the re-release of her sixth studio album, Reputation (Taylor's Version).

While Swift herself has remained tight-lipped about her musical plans for the year, she's known for dropping cryptic clues and easter eggs for fans to decode.

But Kelce himself teased that there's more to come from the singer-songwriter this year in an interview with sport commentator Pat McAfee.

Talking about his wife's love of Swift, McAfee commented on how a lot of her back catalogue is about 'f***boys,' but how he reckoned there would be new songs coming about 'a great guy.'

Kelce responded: "There might be a few..."

Asked if he'd 'heard any' of these new songs, Kelce responded: "You know I can't say... you know I can't say any of that," before adding: "I hear music everywhere."

McAfee then asked about Swift's songwriting process and whether Kelce serves as motivation for his girlfriend.

He responded: "You know it, I'll never chime in but I'm here to support it, I'm here to see where it can go."

Fans were quick to praise Kelce on how gracefully he answered McAfee's questions.

Responding to the clip, shared on ESPN's TikTok, one person said: "The fact Kelce, remains smiling and supportive. These Kelce boys were raised right," as a second agreed: "'I’m here to support' that’s all a girl needs!"

Reaction also broke out on X, where a clip of the interview racked up almost 300k views.

One person responded: "Nice he is supportive but doesn’t spill the secrets."

Some even compared to duo's dynamic to that of Tom Holland and Zendaya, with the actor revealing he doesn't walk the red carpet with his fiance anymore because it's 'her moment.'

One fan said: "This is just like how Tom Holland never goes on the red carpet with Zendaya when SHE'S the one being honored."

A second added: "I bet she gets in the zone and he just freaking HYPES her up ‘cause that’s his personality and you can tell he adores her."
