Tony Hawk has slammed false rumors that he held one of his weddings on Jeffrey Epstein's island Little St James as a 'narrative of nonsense'.

The skateboarder took to social media to dispel the rumors, which started after the latest slew of documents was released the estate of convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

More than three million more documents have been released from the archives, which still do not represent the files in their entirety.

A number of famous and influential people have been named in the files, though being named in them is not in itself a suggestion of wrongdoing.

In a post to his Instagram story, Hawk put the false rumors to rest in no uncertain terms.

"Here are the facts and timelines of my nuptials," he wrote. "And I apologize if they don't fit a narrative of nonsense."

He went on to list his weddings, as well as the locations that they were held just for the avoidance of doubt.

This started in 1990, where he was married in Fallbrook, California, at home, to Cindy Dunbar.

That relationship would end in 1993, and then Hawk would marry his second wife Erin Lee in 1996, listing on his post that this wedding was in San Diego at a Hilton Hotel.

The pair were married for eight years before separating in 2004.

Hawks would then go on to marry his third wife Lhotse Merriam in 2006, explaining that the wedding took place in Fiji on Tavarua Surf Island.

They would divorce after five years together in 2011.

Finally, Hawks married his current wife Catherine Goodman in 2015 at Adare Manor in Ireland, and they are still together 11 years later.

But where did the false rumor that Hawk got married on Epstein's island come from?

Hawk said a probably explanation was photos from his wedding to Merriam in 2006, which were shot by a sports photographer called Mark Epstein, who has no relation to Jeffery Epstein, and to whom Hawk also apologized in his post.

"One of the guests in 2006 shot photos of the Fiji ceremony and licensed them to Getty Images", he posted.

"His name is [coincidentally] Mark Epstein, an accomplished action sports photographer from Wyoming and of no relation to Jeffrey Epstein (who I never met and whose island I never visited)."

He added: "This is all easily verifiable information. Facts are not fungible."

The combination of the surname 'Epstein', applying to someone with no relation to Jeffrey Epstein, and the photos of an island, which was Tavarua Surf Island in Fiji thousands of miles from Little Saint James in the US Virgin Islands, set the internet's rumor mill into full speed.
