Tobey Maguire’s ex-wife Jennifer Meyer has had her say about her a rumor that the former Spider-Man actor is dating a woman three years older than his own daughter.
Maguire, 49, found himself in the midst of the rumor mill last week, and it all started after he was spotted leaving a 4th of July party hosted by businessman, Michael Rubin.
The star-studded event naturally attracted some paparazzi, so photographers caught the moment Maguire left in the company of 20-year-old model Lily Chee.

The actor appeared to have his hand on Chee's back, and that was all it took for people to start wondering if they could be an item.
"TOBEY MAGUIRE IS DATING LILY CHEE wtaf," reads one post on Twitter.
Other internet users honed in on Chee's age, noting that at 20-years-old, she's much closer in age to Maguire's 17-year-old daughter, Ruby Sweetheart Maguire.
"tobey maguire was my favorite spiderman until I saw those pics of him with lily chee !," one shocked fan commented, adding: "she’s 20 he’s 49… and his own daughter is 17!!"
Another wrote: "toby maguire with 20 year old lily chee like his own daughter isn't literally three years younger than her ..."
Though there has been no confirmation that Maguire and Chee are anything more than acquaintances, the rumor quickly began to spread and soon caught the attention of Meyer, who was married to Maguire from 2006 to 2017.
Meyer shares two children with Maguire, Ruby and their 15-year-old son, Otis, and she quickly came to her ex's defence when people started to ask her about his dating life.
One internet user addressed Meyer directly, asking: "Why is your ex husband banging someone 3 years older than your daughter."
In response, Meyer argued Maguire actually was not in any way involved with Chee.
She wrote: "I don't usually respond to such nonsense, but he was kindly helping a friend to her car. Being a good guy. And now he is blasted online for dating someone he is not."
Meyer rounded off her comment by taking the high road, saying: "But thank you for your rude comment, I hope it made you feel better today. Wishing you love and light."
Meyer's defence of Maguire comes after the mom told Us Weekly in 2018 that the pair are still close, even after their split.
“He’s the greatest ex-husband a girl could ever have,” she said at the time.
