Travis Kelce's ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, took to her Instagram Story to share a cryptic post after the NFL star confirmed his engagement to Taylor Swift.

Who am I kidding - every man and his dog is aware of this particular piece of news that emerged on Tuesday (August 26), with everyone from Selena Gomez to Donald Trump sharing their thoughts on the proposal.
The two stars announced their news on Instagram with a series of photos showing the couple surrounded by flowers, with the caption: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

Kelce and Swift started dating in 2023, after the Kansas City Chiefs star declared his hopes to meet her on an episode of his New Heights podcast.
News of Kelce's crush on Swift came after he broke up with Nicole in 2022, following an on-and-off relationship which lasted for five years.
While Kelce's former girlfriend didn't directly respond to the engagement announcement, she did share a post on her Instagram Story which discussed actively choosing 'joy' in life.

The post featured actor Tracee Ellis Ross, who explained: "I think joy is different from happiness. Happiness is something you can get at 7-Eleven, and joy is something that you earn and work for and takes practice."
"I feel lie joy has legs," she continued. "I feel like joy has feet, I feel like joy has roots, I feel like creates space and allows for room for more than just a good day. I think joy is an attitude. I think joy is a perspective, and I think joy is a lens through which I live and look at my life."
Alongside the clip, Nicole wrote: "Read about this very concept years ago in a book called 'Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn't Enough'. I aspire! So so good."

The post comes after Nicole previously spoke openly about the 'overwhelming' experience of going through a public breakup after her split with Kelce.
During an appearance on Special Forces: The World's Toughest Test, Nicole described how being in the spotlight impacted her, saying: "It’s pretty constant and exhausting...
"I could post about the sky being blue and people will have a response about an ex and their new situation. It’s inadvertently affected me to the point where it makes me question my overall value as a person."
Though Nicole admitted at the time she was still trying to figure out how to 'deal with it', she stressed she 'really likes' Swift and thinks she's 'very talented'.
