Anyone But You star Sydney Sweeney has opened up about how she considered getting breast reduction surgery while she was still in high school.

Now 26, Sweeney 'loves' her boobs and is all for 'flaunt[ing] what you got'.

As someone in the spotlight, Sweeney has the chance to show off her figure on red carpets, chat shows and even in acting roles, and she's keen to 'own' her assets.

However, she didn't always feel that way.

In a new interview with Glamour magazine, the actor recalled how she felt after her boobs grew in her teenage years, saying she used to 'feel uncomfortable' about how big they were in high school.

The actor would wear oversized clothes in an attempt to disguise her breast size, saying she 'went through that process of covering [her] body up at such a young age'.

Sweeney was so conscious of her boobs that she spoke to her mom about the possibility of making them smaller.

She explained: "I used to say that when I turned 18, I was going to get a boob job to make them smaller."

Her mom didn't want her to make any rash decisions, though, as Sweeney continued: "And my mom told me, ‘Don’t do it. You’ll regret it in college'."

Looking back, Sweeney is now 'so glad' she didn't undergo surgery.

"I like them. They’re my best friends," she said. "Everybody’s body is beautiful. When you are confident and you’re happy within is when it really shows to other people.”

"I want to show girls that it’s amazing and beautiful and empowering to have the bodies that we have," Sweeney added.

The actor, who is now preparing for her role in Ron Howard’s latest movie, Eden, admitted she 'grew up really fast' after finding success at such a young age.

“There is no handbook, there is no correct way," she said of fame.

However, with a few years of experience now under her belt, Sweeney said: “I think if I would’ve known all that came along with it, I would’ve probably lived my life as a kid longer.

“I was doing very low-budget, indie movies, working 12-to-14-hour days,” she continued. "I didn’t have a set teacher, so when I got home, I was trying to catch up on my schoolwork. I didn’t go to prom or other dances.”

Sweeney admitted that she would have liked to experience those kind of things as a teen, but she doesn't regret the sacrifices she made to help launch her career into what it is now.
