Gotti actor Spencer Lofranco's heartbreaking last post before brother announced his death aged 33

The Canadian actor starred alongside John Travolta in the 2018 movie

Canadian actor Spencer Lofranco has died at the age of 33, his brother Santino has announced.

The Toronto, Ontario native made his feature film debut in 2013's At Middleton, playing Conrad Hartman.

He went on to star as John Travolta's son in the 2018 biographical crime movie about New York City mobster, John Gotti.

Taking to his Instagram account on Thursday (November 20), Santino wrote: "To the legend @roccowinning. My brother.

“You lived a life only some could dream of. You changed people [sic] lives, and now you are with God.

"I will always love you and miss you Bear. RIP. October 18, 1992 – November 18, 2025,” he added.

Santino's account has since been put on private.

Lofranco’s death is currently under investigation in British Columbia, Canada, as per TMZ, where he is believed to have died.

His cause of death has not yet been determined.

A week ago, the actor posted a monochrome selfie to Instagram and appeared in high spirits.

"I’m getting my face tatoo burned out so subscribe to my only fans," he captioned the post. "Period the best is yet to come."

He concluded the post, which sees him with a shaved head: "The hair is on it way it’s got held up customs. Crazy."



Since, the post has been flooded with tributes from fans and friends.

"It’s truly incredible how much a stranger can impact your life," one person penned.

"The news of you passing is so devastating. My heart feels so heavy for you, your family & friends. Such a genuine soul."

A second friend said: "Rest in peace sweet boy. I’ll forever cherish our hours of talks about how important art is to this world n the things you were gonna do with your creations.

"I hope you’re forever creating."

In a 2014 interview, Spencer reflected on his decision to become an actor, describing himself as a kid who always wanted to be the center of attention.

"I decided I wanted to be an actor when I was 17," he told Interview magazine. "I guess I was being an actor my whole life.

"I finally realized what I was doing and it was just getting me in trouble. I went to summer acting classes. Then I did a year conservatory at New York Film Academy and then that’s when I got Jamesy Boy."

Lofranco stepped out of the spotlight in 2018. It is not clear why.

By 2019, he was reportedly living on a beach, creating and selling art and going by the nickname Fire, according to the Daily Mail.
