Fans of the Osbourne family have drawn attention to one of the accessories Sharon Osbourne was spotted wearing at her husband Ozzy's funeral, and pointed out the touching meaning behind it.

The final farewell for the Black Sabbath frontman took place in Birmingham, England today (July 30), following Ozzy's death at the age of 76 on July 22.

Sharon was joined by the couple's children, Aimee, Kelly and Jack, at the event, which included a public procession observed by hundreds of fans.

The family were seen looking visibly emotional as they arrived at the Black Sabbath bench where tributes to Ozzy have been laid, and the family all raised their hands in a peace sign while showing their respects to their lost family member.

While watching the event unfold, fans took to social media to address some of the little details they'd noticed the Osbourne family had adopted for the day, including a chain that Sharon wore around her neck.

Photos show a chunky gold ring hanging from the necklace, and fans were quick to express belief that it was actually Ozzy's wedding ring.

"Sharon osbourne wearing ozzy’s wedding ring in a chain around her neck while mourning him [crying face], we love you shaz," one person wrote after spotting the accessory.

Another followed up with more details on the ring, writing: "yeah, this is the ring they got for their wedding renewal in 2017, he used to wear both this and the original wedding band from when they got married in 1982."

"Seeing Sharon wear Ozzy’s ring on a necklace… completely wrecked me," added a third.

Sharon and Ozzy first met in 1970, when her father was managing Ozzy's band, but it wasn't until 1979 that they became closer as Sharon began managing Ozzy as a solo artist.

After they started dating, the pair married in 1982 and went on to welcome their three children. They split briefly in 2016, but Ozzy assured that just a few months later, their relationship was 'back on track'.

The couple renewed their wedding vows in 2017, at which time the singer told Hello! the event was 'actually [their] real wedding day'.

"This is the one that I will remember," he said. "Sharon and I have been through so much, and this honestly feels like a new beginning."

Sharon joined her kids at the funeral to lay flowers next to a poster of Ozzy, with each family member carrying a pink rose wrapped in black paper and tied with a purple ribbon.

Sharon kissed her flower before laying it down in tribute to her late husband.
