Seth Rogen’s opinions about not wanting kids have resurfaced and people are divided

The actor's opinions about being child-free are well documented and have once again caused controversy online

Seth Rogen has left people divided after his opinions about not having children online resurfaced online.

The actor and comedian's decision to remain child-free are well-documented as Rogen has often spoken about his decision to not become a father.

It all centres around a post in which Rogen said that he and his wife spend their Saturday mornings staying in bed, smoking weed, and watching movies naked than raising kids - which he'd previously said on The Howard Stern Show back in 2021.

"We have so much fun. I don’t know anyone who gets as much happiness out of their kids as we get out of our non-kids.” he said at the time.

"Like we are f**king psyched all the time! We are laying in bed on Saturday morning smoking weed, watching movies naked.

"If we had kids, we could not be f**king doing this."

Not only that, but he has explained why he and his wife Lauren would not be happier if they had decided to have children.

Seth said he was 'reaffirmed' in his decision.

Speaking on the Diary of a CEO podcast, he told host Steve Bartlett that the decision not to have children may have been factor in his career success.

He said: “There’s a whole huge thing I’m not doing, which is raising children.

"I’ve been around obviously a lot of children, I'm not ignorant to what it’s like. … Everyone I know has kids. I'm 40, you know? I know.

“Some of my friends have had kids for decades. Some people want kids, some people don't want kids.”

Rogen went on to argue that some people might have children just because it's what they're expected to do.

He said: “A lot of people have kids before they even think about it, from what I've seen, honestly.

“You just are told, 'You go through life, you get married, you have kids' — it’s what happens."

Except that may not be quite the case anymore - at least not as much as it used to be.

But while for some the decision might an economic one, others are simply saying that they don't feel the need to have children to be fulfilled in life.

But many people were less than impressed with his comments and took to social media to express their opinion.

One wrote: "I wouldn’t trade Saturday mornings with my kids for anything."

Another posted: "There is nothing, and I mean nothing that I would take over my daughter and future kids."

While someone else said: "Same. Those lazy weekend mornings with my kiddos are the best."

But others pointed out that Rogen's decisions don't actually affect them, with one writing: "Not yall being weird again about Seth Rogan wanting to smoke weed with his wife over wanting kids."

A second said: "So what? People who don’t want kids couldn’t give a single f**k. Whatever makes you happy do it."

And a third wrote: "Good grief. We all need to move on and accept having children isn't for everyone.

"It's possible to live a fulfilling life without sacrificing it for children."
