Seth Rogen has spoken out about how he and his wife are super happy without kids and are loving their life together as non-parents.

Having kids is a very rewarding experience, but it does eat into a lot of your time and comes with a lot of responsibility, often for precious little thanks.

Still, loads of people willingly choose to go down that route, which is totally fine for them.

It’s also totally fine to admit that the whole thing isn’t for you, and - if Superbad star Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller Rogen are anything to judge by - you might even end up loving your child-free existence.

Speaking to Steven Bartlett on his Diary of a CEO podcast, Rogen explained how freeing he finds the lifestyle he and his wife have chosen.

“There’s a whole huge thing I’m not doing, which is raising children,” he said.

“Some people want kids, some people don’t want kids.

“Honestly, you just are told, ‘You go through life, you get married, you have kids.’

“That’s what happens, and me and my wife, neither of us were like that.

“Honestly, the older we get, the more happy and reaffirmed we are with our choice to not have kids.”

Despite having starred in films like Knocked Up, Rogen has no desire to start a family, partially because of the freedom he and his wife have to live out their own lives as unencumbered adults.

He continued: “We are in the prime of our lives.

“We are smarter than we’ve ever been, we understand ourselves more than we ever have, we have the capacity to achieve a level of work and a level of communication and care for one another, and a lifestyle we can live with one another, that we’ve never been able to live before.

“Me and my wife seem to get a lot more active enjoyment out of not having kids than anyone I know seems to get out of having kids.”

Rogen has spoken about this before, too.

The pair are very content without kids.

Back in 2021, he appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show to explain how he and Lauren - who married in 2011 - are ‘f**king psyched all the time’ because they can spend their Saturday mornings ‘smoking weed’ and ‘watching movies naked’.

“If we had kids, we could not be doing this,” Rogen correctly added.

Well, it certainly does seem like a nice life.

To be fair, the money earned from two successful careers in film might also help, but not having the responsibility is great too.

However, the pair aren’t without their dependents, as they are both dog parents to a pampered pooch called Zelda.

On her 11th birthday in 2020, Rogen shared a picture of her that read: “I feel incredibly grateful to spend my time with such a wonderful, special, loving little creature.

    “Happy birthday!!”
