Matthew McConaughey has revealed a strange ‘wet dream’ is the reason for his happy family life.
McConaughey has been spilling his secrets lately, and a lot of them have to do with his wife.
The actor has been with his Brazilian American model and designer wife Camila Alves since 2006 and they tied the knot in 2012.
The pair also three children together which includes their 17-year-old Levi, Vida, 15, and Livingston, 12.

The 56-year-old revealed to People that he met his wife at a club: “She showed up, and she moved right to left in front of my eyes across that club. It was as if she was floating.”
He went on to say: “And I did not say, ‘Who is that?’ I said, ‘What is that?’ And then introduced myself. Since that evening, I have not wanted to spend time with any other woman.”
But it might not have happened if he didn’t listen to a wet dream he had months earlier.

In his newsletter, Lyrics of Livin’, he revealed what his dating life was like in his 30s.
“In my mid-30s, I was looking for a lifetime lover, a best friend, and a mother-to-be. I was looking for more, I was looking for the one, I was looking for her,” he wrote. “Then I had a wet dream.”
He went on to explain that the dream was him on his 88th birthday with his 88 children, that were fathered by 22 women.
He noted that the women were ‘serene and satisfied,’ as their children were ‘smiling, laughing, and healthy.’
Then everyone joined a family photo on the drive way. “Three! Two! One! Then I came,” the actor said.
He took it as a ‘spiritual sign’ to ‘quit so intentionally to find the perfect woman for me and, rather, concede to the natural selection process of finding her, her finding me, or not'.
"So I quit looking for her," he said. “Three months later, I met Camila. Twenty years later she’s still the only woman I’ve ever wanted to take on a date, sleep with, or wake up next to.”
And that's not the only marital secret he's letting slip.

Earlier this year, he explained the one thing that can create a happy marriage: the size of the bed.
Speaking on Fox News Digital, he revealed something he wrote about in his book Poems & Prayers: “I wake up one morning … I’m looking over there, and Camila’s like a football field away, man.”
He added: “You’re like, ‘Man, this damn king-size bed is not good for the marriage, man. Get rid of that son of a b****.’
“So, we got a queen-size, where we’re shoulder to shoulder. I’m telling you, it’s good for your marriage.”
He also said this also stops the kids from being able to get in their bed, revealing the bedroom is a kid-free zone.
