Arguably one of the best parts of a wedding is the cake and Martin Short was evidently extremely eager to try Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's...
Gomez and Blanco tied the knot in a star-studded affair back in September, where the likes of Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Paris Hilton, and Emily in Paris star Ashley Park all attended.
Their ceremony was held at the Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara, California, and Gomez's Only Murders in the Building co-star Martin Short was of course there to celebrate her special day alongside her other celebrity pals.
And it's lucky Short and Gomez are as close as they are as the actor made a huge blunder with the wedding cake.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel about the special day, Short shared: "There were big, big tents and at the back of the tents were these individual seating areas with couches and chairs.
"And there was a cake, a wedding cake, by our section. But it was a small wedding cake."
The 75-year-old went on to admit: "I just assumed there was a wedding cake for each section in the back. After a few hours, they haven’t cut their wedding cake yet... Steve [Martin] said he was gonna leave."
Short didn't want Martin to leave and proceeded to try to cut him a piece of cake with the fork he had in his hand. However, it turns out the cake he was trying to cut was the wedding cake.
"Then all the people in our group then shouted 'MARTY!' [...] and this was about an hour before it was supposed to be presented," his story continued.
"I turned to Paul Rudd and said, 'So, do we just leave?'"

The wedding coordinator was alerted to Short's faux pas, and then the chef came to perform 'surgery' on the cake and fix the comedian's mistake.
"It was very like a Hollywood wedding cake in that it was beautiful but it had a little work done," Short quipped.
Kimmel asked if Gomez was informed about the incident, but Short didn't want to tell her. She still got wind of it all, however, and seemingly saw the funny side of things.
The actor shared: "As I was leaving Selena came up to me and said, 'Hey Marty, I heard you tried to eat my cake.'"
Well, at least it makes for a good story to tell the grandkids...
