Keanu Reeves fans slam interviewer after he’s forced to answer very personal question about Sandra Bullock on live TV

The John Wick actor sat down to talk about his new movies, when he was asked about his Speed co-star.

Keanu Reeves fans are furious after seeing an awkward line of questioning during Live TV on BBC’s The One Show.

It’s no shock that fans are ride-or-die for possibly the nicest man alive, Reeves, who has graced the screens of the world for decades.

But after the 60-year-old star was asked by host Alex Jones about his friend and former crush, Sandra Bullock, commenters were swift to take action against what they believe was ‘unprofessional’ questioning.

The John Wick actor sat down to talk about his new movies, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Ballerina, when he was asked about his Speed co-star.

It was host Gabby Logan who ruffled feathers when she pushed the star for an answer about what could have been.

When this was brought up, the interview took a turn for the uncomfortable.

Jones asked him whether he was happy to see his former colleagues at a 30th anniversary celebration, where the cast got together and screened the flick, to which he agreed.

He said: “That was so nice. Yeah, Sandra Bullock and I get along really well and it's always nice to see her, so it was nice to kind of hang out for a little bit.”

But then Logan bashfully quipped: “Didn't you discover later that you could've got on even better... you both had a bit of a crush on each other on set but you didn't find out until later on that you kind of fancied each other...”

Considering the fact that the actor has been with 51-year-old artist Alexandra Grant for a while, and they married recently, fans believed their questions about Bullock was uncalled for.

Reeves replied with a non-committal, ‘Ohhhh yeah! We were very professional'.

Jones chimed in, ‘that would've been a nice couple!’ and Logan added: “There was great chemistry on screen anyway; it was fantastic.”

However, Reeves was clearly cringing at the way the conversation was going, and the atmosphere appeared tense.

Fans immediately hopped on social media to give their thoughts on why the interview bombed.

One person wrote on Instagram: “Terrible interviewing by the bbc.”

Another said: “Embarrassing questions, a lovely man, and a great actor.”

Someone else wrote: “Interrupting him and then embarrassing him live? Wow. Do better.”

“Why say that to a happily married man? So awkward and disrespectful,” wrote a fourth.

While there was a time where Reeves and Bullock could have become an item, the moment was fleeting.

Their film was a hit, and it was even reprised for a second round, which Reeves refused to star in, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t want to work with his friend again.

Reeves shared why he chose to pull himself out of the race for the flick when talking to The Graham Norton Show: "I really wanted to work with Sandra Bullock, I loved playing Jack Traven, and I loved Speed, but an ocean liner?

"I had nothing against the artists involved, but at that time I had the feeling it just wasn't right."

That’s fair enough.
