Fans have crazy conspiracy theory about Hailey Bieber's baby name and Selena Gomez won't be happy

Fans of Justin and Hailey Bieber have come up with a number of outlandish conspiracy theories following the couple's announcement that they are expecting their first child together.

Ever since the pair first got married, speculation has been rife about when they might announce that they are expecting a child together.

And on 9 May, the fan speculation was finally put to rest when the pair confirmed that they are expecting their first baby.

The celebrity couple each took to their respective social media pages to post the happy news.

In simple posts, they captioned their announcements simply by tagging each other.

While fans are, of course, very happy for the soon-to-be parents, some have also speculated about how Selena Gomez has been taking the news.

For those who don't know, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez dated on and off between 2010 and 2018.

And now fans have been speculating about the name of the child, with one theory pondering how things could go if the couple picked one name in particular.

This is the name 'Emory', which would mean that the unborn child would be called Emory Bieber.

People who have kept abreast of Justin's previous relationship with Gomez may recall that Gomez had previously expressed that she liked the idea of calling a future child by this very name.

At an event in 2010 Gomez said: "I like Emory. Which is E-M-O-R-Y. Insert my husband's last name, Yeah, 'Emory Bieber.'"

The allusion that she may have expected to marry and have children with Bieber has not been lost on fans even 14 years later.

Now, fans have joked that Justin and Hailey would kick up quite the stink if they now decided to name their child Emory.

Taking to social media, one fan remarked: "Hailey should name the child Emory just for sh*ts and giggles."

A second echoed the sentiment, writing: "For real, somebody check on Selena because this is how I expect her to be right now and the day Hailey calls her child Emory."

Meanwhile someone else wrote that it would 'realll bad' if Hailey and Justin named their child Emory, posting: "If Hailey was Real like Realll bad mind, she'd name their name her baby Emory."

Another agreed, writing: "Wouldn't it be just funny if Hailey named her kid Emory."

Following the Biebers' announcement, Gomez posted a picture on her Instagram page of herself, with some speculating it was some sort of response.
