Jeff Bezos is one of the most successful people in the world, and he’s got the secret to how you can do it too.

There are plenty of things people try to adopt when looking to take on an entrepreneurial mindset, but according to the founder of Amazon, it’s not about what you do, it’s about how you feel.

In order to have a life that’s meaningful and successful, there is apparently one simple thing that makes all the difference.

Now, you might not like his advice, namely because it’ll cause you to have a little crisis about whether it’s destined for you to become rich or not.

But it’s certainly worked for the 60-year-old who is the second richest person in the world, as per Forbes, behind Elon Musk.

Bezos previously explained: "You don't choose your passions, your passions choose you."

It’s a little bit of a zinger because what if you don’t know what your passion is and what if it never finds you?

That’s the type of mindset that could keep it from entering your life.

When a person is passionate about something, it means that they’ll make sacrifices for it, they’ll put the work in and they’ll have the drive to make it work by any means necessary.

And they’ll love it too.

That’s why finding your passion could be the best piece of advice a successful person could give you.

At the George W. Bush Presidential Center's Forum on Leadership in 2018, Bezos said: "You can have a job, or you can have a career, or you can have a calling.

“And if you can somehow figure out how to have a calling, you have hit the jackpot, because that's the big deal."

So, either you can continue to work at a job that you hate, or you could think about what you truly want to do with your life and go get it.

Let’s be honest, Bezos is living proof that you can do it if you have the resources and drive.

It was only in 1994 when he quit his job at an investment bank and moved to Seattle, to open a virtual bookstore.

The entrepreneur then began working out of his garage with a couple of employees, before he began developing the software for the site, which he called Amazon.com.

Just one year later it went on to sell its first book in 1995.

Now?

Bezos is worth over $216 billion just shy of 30 years later.

That’s dedication to his passion.

There’s also no age limit on finding your passion as he was 30 when he founded Amazon.

Now, Bezos is known for being the ultimate success story - even if he was heavily invested in by his parents to start the website ($250,000).

Nonetheless, he’s still made an overwhelming return on investment.
