If one of the main things you love about Jason Momoa is the sheer amount of luscious hair that he has to show off, then you're definitely not going to like one of the actor's latest looks.

From the lengthy ponytail and accessorized beard he had in Game of Thrones to the long, flowing locks he had in Aquaman, one of Momoa's most recognizable attributes is his hair.

In fact, when the actor had the audacity to shave off his beard earlier this year, it just about broke the internet.

"Why did you do that [crying face emoji]," one fan commented, while another wrote: "PUT IT BACK!!"

Even Momoa himself admitted he 'hated' the look, though he underwent that particular transformation for a good cause - to help promote his launch of aluminium bottles in a bid to eliminate single-use plastic.

Three months on, and Momoa is back with yet another drastic transformation - and this time the focus is the hair on his head.

The actor takes on multiple leading roles in the new holiday advert for Chime bank, where he appears as a checkout worker, a security guard and a store employee.

Momoa's hair gets gradually shorter throughout the advert, with his first character having a lengthy ponytail, followed by a more typical short haircut for the security guard - but it's the mattress store employee where things take a particularly shocking turn.

In his final role, Momoa sports a short goatee as well as an aggressively receding hairline, with the majority of his head gleaming bald.

Needless to say, it's quite the transformation for the actor who's known for his thick, dark hair, with one viewer commenting: "I can’t get past the bald top [crying laughing face] so damn funny!!!!"

Thankfully, the new look isn't permanent for Momoa, and viewers have been able to see the funny side of the ad.

"Loving every second of it," one fan commented.

The Chief of War actor has also made clear he didn't mind showing off a bald spot for the advert as he commented on his work with the bank, saying: “I had a great time collaborating with the Chime team on this campaign.

"We had a lot of fun creating the different characters and bringing the energy of the holidays to life. At its core, the campaign reflects Chime’s mission to have financial tools work harder for people, and capturing that spirit on screen was a blast. I’m excited to see what we create together next.”

Whatever the next project is, just please don't hurt the hair!
