Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71, his family have confirmed to US Weekly.
TMZ is reporting Hogan suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.
US Weekly detailed in a report published last month that Hogan was recovering from a major operation on his heart.
"Hulk had pretty serious heart surgery a few weeks ago and was doing well afterward," a source close to the wrestler told the outlet.

Hogan is largely regarded as of one the most recognisable figures in the whole of WWE, and today's news is devastating to millions of his fans across the world.
Tributes have been flooding in for the WWE legend, with one person penning on Twitter: "Hard to describe this man's dominance in our society during my childhood years. RIP to the Hulkster."

A second added: "I grew up watching Hulk Hogan, first in the wrestling ring, then in movies like 3 Ninjas, Mr. Nanny, and Suburban Commando. He was a true character and one of the first wrestlers I saw make the leap into Hollywood. A larger-than-life icon. RIP, Champ."

While a third remarked: "Whether you liked him or hated him as a person, professional wrestling wouldn’t be what it is today without Hulk Hogan. Truly the end of an era. RIP."
While Hogan is loved by many wrestling fans, there's no doubt his career has been marred with a fair bit of controversy in recent years.
The disdain towards Hogan follows a video of him repeatedly using a racial slur being made public in 2007, leading him to be axed from WWE's Hall of Fame in 2015 - although three years later he was reinstated.

Hogan would later issue an apology for the comments, saying: "It was wrong. I'm embarrassed by it but a lot of people need to realize that you inherit things, you're your environment.
"Where I grew up was South Tampa and it was a really rough neighbourhood, very low income and all my friends we greeted each other saying that word."
After being reintroduced into the world of WWE amid the comments, Hogan was awkwardly booed by the crowd - much to the surprise of himself and manager, Jimmy Hart.
While Hogan is undoubtedly best known for his wrestling career, he also went down the acting path having featured in films such as Rocky III, Gremlins 2, The A-Team, and Gnomeo and Juliet.
