Emma Stone has given a rare insight into her private life as she shared how she deals with fame.
Stone has been an actress for many years and first shot onto our screens in 2007 in cult classic comedy Superbad.
Since then she starred in the likes of Zombieland, Poor Things, La La Land, Cruella, Birdman, and the Spider-Man franchise.
While the 36-year-old is still very much in the spotlight, she keeps aspects of her home life very private.

Stone, whose real name is actually Emily and not Emma, wed Dave McCary in 2020 and shares a daughter with him.
As I'm sure you can imagine, Stone acts differently at home with her loved ones in comparison to when she's at work or in the public eye.
Stone was asked how she copes with fame and stops herself 'from turning into an alien' (a nod to her new movie Bugonia) and she said it was a 'tricky' answer to give.

"I think everyone sort of deals with that now," Stone went on to elaborate, as per Variety. "We all can relate to that feeling of someone thinking they know you; feeling like you don’t have much control of the avatar outside of me. Because there’s me, and then there’s me, here."
"There’s the person who comes here and then there’s the person who I am with my friends and family," she continued to say adding: "They’re the same person, but it’s what I do to keep myself sane."
All in all, I think Stone is saying that she accepts that she can't control 'the avatar' that is her public persona, but she is more in control of how she is with her loved ones and how they perceive her.

Her comments come after she discussing her real name being Emily last year — something which her friends, family and some co-stars are thought to know her by.
Stone was doing an interview with her The Curse co-star Nathan Fielder when he said: "Before we continue, I’d like to say something. Her name’s Emily, but she goes by Emma professionally.
"So when there’s people that don’t know her, I end up saying Emma. But I’m going to just say Emily from here on."
Stone then confirmed that when she gets to know the people she works with better, they'll often start referring to her as Emily instead of Emma.

She went on to admit that it would be 'so nice' if people she didn't know started calling her Emily too.
