Heidi Klum's latest extraordinary Halloween costume has left everyone saying the same thing

'Queens of Halloween' phone home - however, they seem to be on the same phone line this year.

Every Halloween, the internet waits with bated breath to see what Heidi Klum has in store for this year.

Last year, she graced her annual Halloween party as a peacock - complete with backup dancers acting as her wings, because why not? - and the year prior, the model was 'worming around' as a literal worm.

And this year, she was back with a bang by dressing up as E.T. from the 1982 film, E.T the Extra-Terrestrial, alongside her partner Tom Kaulitz.

Coming up with the idea to dress up as the alien has to be an original thought because who in their right mind would do it? Or at least go to the lengthy measures that the 51-year-old model and TV personality did.

According to PEOPLE, the decision was inspired by her love of the film and that E.T. is 'part of most of our lives'.

However, it seems a contender for her crown as she wasn't the only E.T. this year.

A number of outlets, including The Hollywood Reporter, have staked claim that another celebrity is, in fact, the Queen of Halloween.

Janelle Monáe has her own catalog of spooky Halloween costumes, including dressing up as a fly, the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, a headless woman, and Jim Carrey in The Mask.

Similar to Klum, the 38-year-old rocked up in an elaborate E.T. costume - even going so far as to post a photo of herself recreating the bicycle scene, with the musician also appearing as Elliot.

Monáe also debuted her costume on The Jennifer Hudson Show, with Hudson saying in a clip on her Instagram that she 'never guessed' that she would get to 'meet E.T.'

And it's led to social media users all wondering the same thing.

Taking to Twitter, one person posted: "I know heidi klum was SICK af when janelle monae popped out as e.t. this halloween."

Another commented: "How p***ed was Heidi Klum behind the scenes that Jenelle Monet scooped her costume a full 24 hours before her."

Posting a gif from Family Guy of Peter and Lois in matching outfits, someone else said: "Heidi Klum seeing Janelle Monáe."

Meanwhile, a fourth was loving the costumes, writing: "janelle monae and heidi klum both being hyper realistic ET for Halloween is SENDING ME."

Well, it sounds like it was purely coincidental as someone asked Monáe if she knew Klum was dressed as E.T. also.

Speaking to Association Press, she replied: "Oh, there can be two HalloQueens, I love Heidi."

Meanwhile, Klum said: "Yes, I think it came out great it's a costume that's been in the making for one year I have been a fan of ETs since I was nine years old that's when the movie came out," adding: "ET is very small so I thought it would be fun to play with the proportions."
