Sopranos star Drea de Matteo has revealed the no-nonsense response she gave to her son when he expressed his dislike for her OnlyFans career.

After establishing her name as an actor with roles in The Sopranos, Desperate Housewives and Sons of Anarchy, de Matteo took her career in a new direction with the launch of her OnlyFans page in 2023.

The 52-year-old mom-of-two has admitted she was initially reluctant to creating an account on the subscription service, but she was left with little choice after she refused to get a Covid-19 vaccine and started to lose out on acting gigs.

In an interview on the Sage Steele podcast, de Matteo described OnlyFans as the 'last trick' up her sleeve to feed her kids and 'take care of everything' after she was left with next to nothing in her bank account.

But while the creation of her account allowed her to put food in her kids' mouthes, de Matteo admitted her 12-year-old son, Waylon, isn't totally on board with her career.

The actor told Steele that her daughter 'doesn't care at all' about the content she shares online, but said of Waylon: "He will say 'what about if my friends start stepping to me?'"

De Matteo made clear that she doesn't hesitate to 'put him in his place' when he makes comments like this, saying: "Do you like that jacket you just asked me to buy you?'

“'You like all the things that you want, that make you happy? You like that new PC that you begged for for Christmas? Because you wouldn’t have that s**t if Mommy didn’t show her a**'."

De Matteo laughed as she shared her response, but added: "I mean, it's true!"

Her response seems to work, too, as she continued: "That shuts him up because he’s a little greedy little b**tard, too, sometimes. I mean, he’s 12, you know?"

"If he says one thing about OnlyFans to me, all I have to do is be like 'you like the Moncler jacket?'," de Matteo continued.

She went on to say that she and her kids have a 'funny joke' going on in their house, with her son pointing out that his mom's boobs 'fed him while he was a little baby' and they're 'still feeding him now'.

While de Matteo has heard of some of her son's friends making critical comments about her, she made it clear to tell Waylon that he should not engage in the same kind of critical and judgemental behavior.
