Blake Lively has opened up on the 'intense' year she's had amid her ongoing lawsuit with Justin Baldoni.
Lively and Baldoni both starred in 2024 film It Ends With Us - based on Colleen Hoover's book of the same title - and have since been embroiled in legal battles with one another.
A Simple Favor star Lively was the first to file a suit in December of last year where she accused her co-star of sexual harassment. Lively also claimed that Baldoni and his PR team had gone out of their way to create a smear campaign against her.

The mom-of-four first filed a civil complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department on December 20, before going on to move the complaint to federal court on December 31.

Baldoni later retaliated by filing a $400,000,000 defamation suit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds.
There's since been ongoing back-and-forth between the two Hollywood stars' respective legal teams, so much so a judge warned them to reign in the public relations war, PEOPLE reported in February.

Both Lively and Baldoni have kept a reasonably low profile in the months since, but Lively has now done her first talk show interview since their legal battles began.
Lively's new movie Another Simple Favor dropped on Prime Video yesterday (May 1) and she's been doing a press tour of late to promote it.
She sat down with Seth Meyers last night and during their chat, Lively discussed the hardships she's faced this year as she alluded to her legal woes with Baldoni. See a clip of it here:
Noting that she'd had a 'pretty intense year', Meyers said to her: "I imagine you're in a situation where you can't say much [about the intense year]."

"Yeah, I mean, what I can say without going too much into it is that this year has been full of the highest highs and the lowest lows of my life," Lively replied.
"And I see so many woman around, afraid to speak — especially right now — afraid to share their experiences. And fear is by design.

"It's what keeps us silent. But I also acknowledge that many people don't have the opportunity to speak. So I do feel fortunate that I've been able to."

The Gossip Girl alum continued: "It's the women who have had the ability to use their voice that's kept me strong and helped me in my belief and my fight for the world to be safer for women and girls."
A date for Lively and Baldoni's trial has been set for March 2026.
