Billy Ray Cyrus responds after shocking audio of him 'screaming' at wife is revealed

An audio recording of an interaction between Billy Ray Cyrus and wife Firerose has been leaked online.
Just seven months after getting married, Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from fellow singer Firerose - real name Johanna Rosie Hodges - in May earlier this year.
Both later filed paperwork accusing the other of abuse, Firerose accusing Cyrus of 'extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse' and Cyrus later accusing his wife of the same. And a recording has since been leaked of an interaction between the pair, with Cyrus 'screaming' expletives at Firerose, a recording the 62-year-old's since addressed in a post to social media.

In the audio recording obtained by the Mail Online, Cyrus can be heard getting agitated about having 'needed to leave two hours ago'. As Firerose tries to reassure him, however, Cyrus swears at her and says he's not in a 'place' to 'go do a show' clapping his hands together, raising his voice at Firerose.
Firerose asks her husband to 'please stop screaming at [her]', however, Cyrus continues: "If you had just left it the f**k alone, if you had left it alone when I told you it's done. Now I'm really f**king p***ed. You once again showed me, you will not listen.
"I don't know who the f**k you think you are, but you will not f**king listen…this ain't about you, this ain't about your surgery, this ain't about nothing. This is about you being a selfish f**king b***h.' I don' think you're real smart, I've changed my damn mind on that s**t. What you are is a selfish f**king b***h."
Despite Firerose responding she's 'not,' Cyrus carries on, saying she 'cannot continue to walk all over [him] and think [he's] going to go out in public with her 'dumb a**' and have her 'do this s**t anywhere [she] wants in front of whoever'.
Firerose asks if he's 'referring to [him] screaming at her right now', and Cyrus says 'this would not be happening if [she] were to just shut [her] f**king mouth'.

And Cyrus has since responded to the clip being leaked, seemingly admitting to the recording being of him.
Cyrus took to his Instagram story yesterday (24 July) to seemingly address the leaked recording.
He wrote: "Hell yeah I was at my wit's end. As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that's before I knew she was a fraud.
"I just knew something wasn't right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges ex-wife. That's before I knew her parents last name. I had no idea she was arrested for felony residential burglary.
"I saw before my every own eyes, everything I thought I knew about her, was a lie.
"She was trying to take over my career, my life and unsurp the Cyrus name for her own gain. See you in court."
Cyrus' legal representatives Rose Palermo and Jason Talley of Cheatham Palermo and Garrett added in a statement to PEOPLE they believe the audio recording being leaked is 'an apparent last-ditch effort to squeeze money out of Mr. Cyrus'.
They stated: "Mr. Cyrus previously admitted in a court filing that he had been very vocally frustrated and angry with Ms. Hodges during their seven-month marriage as he began to uncover more and more of Ms. Hodges' true motives for marrying him.
"With regards to this recording, Ms. Hodges is the person who made the recording without telling Mr. Cyrus that she was recording him. Of course, she was intentionally on her best behavior since she knew the recording was being made."
A representative for Firerose sent UNILAD a screenshot of a text conversation.
A message allegedly written by 'Billy' sent on 25 February states: "Somebody went on a podcast... to promote their podcast... and came off like 'Sorry I'm Drunk' and accidentally told the TRUTH for a change."
Cyrus - seemingly talking about ex-wife Tish Cyrus - continued: "It's in her own words. She is a liar.. a w***e... and a cheat. Complete s***k. Scum of the earth. A fraud. Makes Deanna Lohan look like Mother Theresa. Stepcest is about to blow up in the b***hes face!!!!!!"
UNILAD has contacted Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus' representatives for comment.
