Fans have been left baffled after Madonna took to Instagram to share a bizarre video of herself lip syncing along to a track by Baby Keem.

The singer, 64, appears to have been living her best life on Instagram recently, having surprised fans just a few days ago by sharing a topless snap.

Her latest post showed Madonna doing something that's very common to see on social media nowadays - mouthing along to a track. Especially with the rise of TikTok, I'm sure we've all seen users singing along to songs, sometimes to tell a story about their own lives.

However, as she's known for her tracks like 'Like A Virgin' and 'Material Girl', Madonna took fans by surprise as she showed a different side of herself by mouthing along to the hip hop track 'Vent'.

For those who might not be familiar with the track, it doesn't hesitate to dive in to violent references as it begins: "Have you ever been punched in your motherf*ckin' face? / What you say? Oh, you haven't? / Alright, wait, b*tch."

Naturally then, fans were surprised to see Madonna mouthing along to the intense track in a post on her Instagram this week, which she shared alongside the caption: "Alright, wait, b*tch. ……………"

With her hair in plaits and a corset around her waist, the singer stared into the camera with her head tilted down as she sang along to the a track, before the video cut to a clip of her lying on a bed.

It's received thousands of likes, which isn't surprising considering she's one of the most iconic singers out there, but that doesn't mean it hasn't also left some fans confused and slightly scared.

Responding to the video on Twitter, one fan joked: "Following Madonna on instagram has single-handedly made my life worse and eroded my mental state AMA."

Another commented: "Madonna is scaring me on instagram again."

The post comes after the singer recently said that her past experiences with people who tried to 'shame' her for empowering herself as a woman paved the way for future artists, writing: "Now Cardi B can sing about her WAP. Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of any magazine with her naked a** and Miley Cyrus can come in like a wrecking ball. You're welcome b*tches."

Perhaps Madonna's venture into hip hop music is a sign of new things for the singer? Will she turn into a hip hop singer? Watch this space...
