Lil Nas X Compares Will Smith And Peppa Pig In Bizarre Response To Oscars Backlash

Lil Nas X has made a baffling comparison between Will Smith's Oscars altercation with Chris Rock and Peppa Pig.

At the 94th Academy Awards, Smith took to the stage not only to receive his Best Actor award, but also to slap Chris Rock after he made a dig at wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

The internet went wild over whether or not the incident was real or a skit, conspiracy theorists even claimed that Rock had prepared for the hit by wearing cheek padding.

Another social media trend saw people suggesting hypothetical scenarios of people Smith could have slapped instead of Rock, with the aim of showing violence is never OK.

One tweet from a user whose account has since been set to private read: "Just a reminder that if Will Smith had slapped Betty White for a joke she made (however insensitive), she easily could’ve fallen backward, cracked her skull and died of a brain bleed.

"Same with Bob Saget obviously.

"Violence is NEVER okay. I'm team #takeitback."

This tweet appeared to catch the attention of Lil Nas X, who went on to suggest scenarios where Smith slapped the likes of abolitionist Harriet Tubman or Peppa Pig.

He wrote: "Just a reminder that if Will Smith had built a time machine and went back in time and slapped Harriet Tubman as a baby for a joke she made (however insensitive), she easily could’ve fallen backward, cracked her skull and never freed slaves.

"Violence is NEVER okay."

Responding to a tweet which contested his hypothetical situation about Tubman, Lil Nas X - real name Montero Lamar Hill - stated that people would 'not be laughing if Will Smith slapped Peppa Pig'.

And the musician didn't stop there.

He continued: "[If Will Smith] then chopped her into tiny bits, added 3/4 a cup of minced onions, a dash of paprika, and just a sprinkle of gouda, then cooked her for breakfast on a warm Sunday morning in Delaware. would u?"

Followers were left astounded by the comparison, having been left in a mixture of shock and stitches over the bizarre hypothetical situation.

One said: "Did she hang up on Jada for being able to whistle too??!! Omg."

Another wrote: "Why does that lowkey sound good."

A third said: "I thought you & Peppa settled your beef (pork?) two years ago, now you're using this chance to shade her?"

Sharing lyrics from American animated series Fairly Odd Parents' theme song, in a later tweet the rapper also wrote: "Y’all sitting here laughing but imagine if Will Smith was an average kid that no one understands, mom and dad and Vicky always giving him commands (bed, twerp), doom and gloom up in his room. Is broken instantly by his magic little fish who grant his every wish cause in reality they."

Smith has since publicly apologised to both Rock and the Academy for the incident.
