Liam Payne autopsy results reveals he died of ‘multiple traumas’ aged 31

Fans of the star have been scrambling for more information since the announcement of his death

Details have been scarced regarding the death of singer Liam Payne but his autopsy has given more information about resulted in the stars death.

While tributes have begun flooding in for the former One Direction star fans have been scrambling for more details regarding the death of Liam Payne.

Police were called to the CasaSur hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16 at around 5:00pm local time, and were informed that the star had fallen from the third floor of his hotel balcony. An autopsy has shed more light on his cause of death.

The star suffered severe injuries that led to ‘internal and external hemorrhaging’ following his fall from the balcony, according to a report from the Sun.

Two forensic pathologists in Buenos Aires carried out the post-mortem on Thursday and have been in contact with the Argentinian police regarding their findings.

Police are currently waiting for more test result to establish more details regarding Payne’s death.

Emergency services stated earlier today that the singer died instantly from his injuries, which included a fractured skull.

He had suffered 'injuries that were incompatible with life', according to the head of the state emergency medical system, Alberto Crescenti.

When they arrived after an 'alarm was raised' at 5:04pm local time, Payne was found in an 'internal courtyard' of the hotel, Crescenti continued.

Earlier today, Payne’s family issued a statement expressing their sorrow at losing the 31-year-old.

The family of former One Direction star have said they are 'heartbroken' by his death, adding in a statement that 'Liam will forever live in our hearts and we’ll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul'.

"We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time." they said.

As well as this, fans have been commenting how much Payne influenced them growing up.

Writing on Twitter, one person commented: "Like this isn't just the loss of liam payne, this is the loss of one direction like it will never be the same again nothing will ever be the same again."

Added another: "From auditioning on X-Factor to becoming part of one of the biggest boy bands in the world, Liam Payne’s journey has been nothing short of incredible. Thank you for the music and memories."

Another fan wrote: All the Payne's in the World, we lost a brother, friends, a little bit of ourselves. He will be surely missed by everyone including the generation of Paynes."
