Kevin Gates has spoken out rather frankly about having sex with his cousin.
The rapper famously revealed in 2015 he’d found out a woman he was dating was actually related to him, three months into their relationship.
Gates has now said that he remains ‘good friends’ with the woman and explained why he chose not to break up with his partner after discovering they were family.

Speaking on Yung Miami’s podcast Caresha Please, Gates was asked about the taboo romance and was quick to justify his actions.
“Did you really f**k your cousin?” Yung Miami asked.
“I just got a question for you,” Gates began. “If me and you meet, I put it on you. The right way. You d**kmatized. I introduce you to my grandma and then she’s like, ‘Baby who you people is?’ She pull me to the side and say, ‘Baby, that’s your cousin!’ I ain’t about to stop!”

He added: “The damage has been done. I didn’t know you my whole life. I just found this out. We’ve already been thuggin’. And we still good friends to this day.”
Gates first revealed on Instagram back in 2015 that his gran had informed him that he was dating his cousin.
Taking to social media, Gates said at the time: “I ain't about to stop f*****g with her.”
Shortly afterwards, Gates appeared on TMZ Live to set a few things straight, insisting that he never found out whether the woman was his first, second, or third cousin.

"Ya'll got the hard part out of the way, why f**k up a good thing?" he said.
Gates shared that his relationship with his cousin started in 2006 and after finding out they were related, the pair continued dating for two more years.
The hit-maker also insisted he ‘doesn’t feel weird’ about their romance and said he’d ‘do it again’.

Elsewhere in his sit-down chat with Yung Miami, Gates also touched upon rumours that he and his current wife Dreka Gates had broken up, saying: “That’s my best friend so no matter what, she’s gonna be my best friend. I love this woman with everything in me.”
Social media was quick to pick up on Gates’ comments, with one person tweeting: “The way Kevin gates described how he f****d his cousin is some wild a** s**t.”
Another added: “Nah Kevin Gates f*****g his cousin is wild,” while a third echoed: “It’s so wild Kevin Gates CONTINUED to have sex with his cousin after finding out they were related. Like bruh keep that s**t to yourself.”
