Sophia Hutchins, the close friend and talent manager of Caitlyn Jenner, has died in a devastating all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident at the age of 29, as per reports.
On Wednesday (July 2), Hutchins plummeted down a 350-foot ravine in Los Angeles after her quad struck the back of a moving car, according to TMZ, which first published the news of the entrepreneur’s death.
Citing police and family sources, the publication claims the businesswoman was riding the ATV near 75-year-old Caitlyn Jenner’s Malibu home, when the tragedy occurred.
Emergency crews attending the incident pronounced Hutchins dead at the scene.

The two occupants of the other vehicle involved in the collision are understood to be unharmed.
Like Jenner, Hutchins - who appeared in the hit E! reality TV series I Am Cait - is transgender. The pair met during the former Olympian’s gender transition in 2015 and quickly bonded.

It’s unknown whether the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was present at the time of the crash, with Jenner yet to publicly comment on the death of her longtime friend.

Hutchins, a Pepperdine University alumna, was the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of the health and technology company LUMASOL.
She also once held the position of CEO of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation.
Founded in 2017, the foundation promotes LGBTQ+ equality and ‘combats discrimination by providing grants to organizations that empower and improve the lives of transgender people’.

These programs include suicide prevention, healthcare, housing, employment, and other related projects.
In an interview with The Hidden Truth with Jim Breslo podcast, Hutchins lifted the lid on the inner workings of her and Jenner’s friendship.
“We have so much in common; we see the world so similarly and we both are such a good match for each other because we challenge each other,” she told Breslo.

“She challenges me in so many ways, has allowed me to grow in so many ways and I hope I challenge her to grow and I think because we share so many of the same passions and views, it’s just a great match, a great partnership.”
Meanwhile, in a 2019 interview, Jenner called Hutchins her ‘best friend, family and confidant’.
“She is one of the top minds in her field. Her value in my life is undeniable. The sky is the limit with her entrepreneurial spirit,” she gushed to The New York Times.
