Fans are convinced they've figured out the real reason behind Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's alleged row at the Grammys and it's all to do with doughnuts.

The couple, who tied the knot in July 2022, starred in a hilarious Dunkin' Donuts advert, which aired during the Super Bowl on Sunday.

In the hilarious 30-second clip, J.Lo is one of the drive thru customers that Affleck serves from the window.

"Is this what you do when you say you're going to work all day?" the 'Love Don't Cost a Thing' singer asks, before requesting a 'glazed' doughnut.

The coffee and donut company wasted no time in posting the clip to social media after it aired during the Super Bowl, with the caption reading: “They say go big or go home, so Ben went big and came home to Massachusetts.”

And Lopez was quick to respond, quote tweeting with her sole line from the commercial, “#GrabMeAGlazed.”

The advert arrives a mere week after the couple were filmed having what appeared to be a small disagreement during the 65th Grammy Awards ceremony.

In one awkward moment while host Trevor Noah was doing a bit right next to the couple, the camera caught the couple frantically whispering to each other and fans assumed they might have had a tiny argument.

Affleck is seen whispering something into her ear, which causes her to jerk backwards and say something stern. Lopez then looks towards the camera when she realises the world's eyes are watching them.

An unnamed lip reader commissioned by the Daily Mail suggested that J.Lo told her husband: "Stop. Look more friendly. Look motivated."

And he apparently replied with: "I might."

But now fans think that doughnuts could have been the source of the spat at the music ceremony last week, with one fan said: "This might explain the Grammy performance."

Ben Affleck became a meme for looking bored at the Grammys.

Another fan commented: "He was having way more fun working at Dunkin’ than he was having with her at the Grammys!"

Someone else quipped: "That's the happiest I've seen him in public since they married. But it's acting...."

Lopez recently addressed the Grammys situation in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it meme which uses a picture of Affleck from the trailer of his upcoming movie, Air, a story that follows how Sonny Vaccaro, a shoe salesman at Nike, worked to sign Michael Jordan to a deal to wear the company's shoes.

She simply captioned the meme: “My husband’s happy face.”

So, it's fair to say that the Gigli co-stars are definitely in on the joke.
