Jamie Foxx speaks out for first time after mystery hospitalization

The Django Unchained star took to social media to share his thoughts for the first time since he was admitted to hospital.

Jamie Foxx has taken to social media to thank his friends, family, and fans after his mystery hospitalization last month.

The Oscar-winning actor took to Instagram to share his thanks with his followers, adding a prayer hands emoji, a heart emoji, and fox emoji.

"Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed," the 55-year-old wrote.

The Django Unchained star also gave a shout out to Nick Cannon for filling in for him as the host on his TV show Beat Shazam.

"Appreciate ya, my boy Nick Cannon. See u all soon," he wrote on an Instagram story, alongside a screenshot of a post by his daughter Corinne.

Corrine is a DJ on the hit show which airs on the Fox Network.

Kelly Osbourne will act as her replacement on the show as her father continues to recover.

The actor, 55, suffered the health issue when he was in Atlanta filming the Netflix movie Back in Action on April 12, in which he stars alongside Cameron Diaz.

Corinne took to Instagram the following day to share the news of her dad's wellbeing, addressing her statement to 'the Foxx family' and explaining that her dad had suffered a 'medical complication'.

Her post reads: "From the Foxx Family:

"We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.

"Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.

"We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.

"Much love, The Foxx Family."

The incident did not happen on the set of Back in Action and Foxx was not transported to the hospital in an emergency vehicle when the 'medical incident' occurred.

It's unclear whether Foxx will be returning to the set after experiencing the medical complication.

His upcoming movie will be an action comedy featuring a star-studded cast, including Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, McKenna Roberts, Rylan Jackson, Jamie Demetriou and Andrew Scott.

Foxx is working on the movie as a producer as well as a cast member, with Horrible Bosses' Seth Gordon directing.

The role comes after Foxx racked up acting credits in hit films like Django Unchained, Collateral and Ray.
