Fans Have A Theory Why Beyoncé Has Made Big Change To All Her Social Media Accounts

The 40-year-old singer wiped her profile pictures on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok

Hopeful Beyoncé fans have a theory that the star has something exciting brewing, after noticing that she'd made a huge change to all of her social media accounts.

The 40-year-old singer wiped her profile pictures on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, having deleted the images to leave a generic avatar graphic.

Twitter
The move triggered a new #BeyonceIsBack hashtag on social media, with fans convinced that the mysterious changes signalled new material was on the way.

The singer has not released a studio album in six years, after releasing her sixth, Lemonade, back in 2016.

One person tweeted: “If Beyoncé drops an album tonight at midnight I’m unavailable for the rest of the month!”

Someone else said: “BEYONCÉ IS COMING, GET THE F**K UPPPPP!!!”

A third wrote: "Dear God if Beyoncé [surprise] drops an album I'll combust like idk what to do."

Another added: “BEYONCÉ IS COMING!!!! THE QUEEN IS BACK!!!!!”

A fifth joked: “No but if beyoncé drops music tonight call me gal gadot bc i won’t be acting right.”

However, some believed that, rather than releasing new music, Beyonce may be announcing a new Ivy Park line instead.

Others, meanwhile, joked that there could be a much simpler explanation:

Beyoncé's last full-length solo release came in 2016 when she dropped Lemonade, which was accompanied by a 65-minute film of the same title.

It soon jumped to number one in many countries worldwide, later being certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

In 2013, her self-titled album was also released in the early hours of the morning without any prior warning.

Despite no promotion before it landed, the album sold more than 617,000 copies in the United States and 828,773 copies worldwide in its first three days of sales, in turn becoming the fastest-selling album in the history of the iTunes Store at the time.

It also debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, earning Beyoncé her fifth consecutive number-one album on the chart.

Beyoncé, who is married to rapper Jay-Z, made history last year when she became the most decorated female artist at the Grammys, where she won four awards out of nine nominations. This brought her career total to 28, surpassing the 27 won by bluegrass-country singer Alison Krauss.
