Doja Cat's latest outfit has triggered some people's phobias - any trypophobes out there, proceed with caution.

Showing off the statement look during Paris Fashion Week, the all-red ensemble saw the 'Say So' singer doused in 30,000 Swarovski crystals all applied by hand.

Showcasing the look on Instagram today (January 23), fashion designer Schiaparelli captioned the slow-mo video of the American rapper: 'Doja Cat Couture'.

The outfit was part of the Haute Couture SS23 show held at Petit Palais in Paris during the prestigious Paris Fashion Week that started last Tuesday (January 17).

Breaking the outfit down into its carefully-crafted constituent parts, Schiaparelli outlines Doja's 'red silk faille bustier' and 'hand-knit skirt of lacquered wooden beads'.

The look was topped off with what they referred to as 'trompe l’œil toe boots'.

And with the name 'Doja's Inferno', it's clear that this outfit is definitely a statement.

    The ensemble garnered mixed reactions.

While it was certainly a bold and avant-garde choice, many people found that the outfit 'triggered' their trypophobia.

Must be something to do with those 30,000 hand-applied Swarovski crystals.

And for those of you who are lucky enough to not yet know what on earth trypophobia is, it is essentially the irrational fear of a cluster of tiny holes.

Healthline writes: "People who have this phobia typically feel queasy, disgusted, and distressed when looking at surfaces that have small holes gathered close together or clustered into a pattern.

"Trypophobia is mainly visual. If you have this phobia, you might feel anxiety, disgust, and discomfort when looking at things like: sponges, strawberries and honeycombs."

Some definitely felt the fear of tiny holes, commenting 'trypophobia moment'.

"My trypophobia has been activated," one person said.

While another said: "trypophobia is hitting."

One person equated it to something not so flattering, writing: "Looks like a dermatological disease."

Also comparing the look to some sort of disease, a third posted: "Chicken pox gone wild."

However, others absolutely loved the haute-couture styling, with one commenter writing: "THIS is creative fashion art. Glad she didn’t wear a cat head."

Her all-gold look was also as controversial.

Echoing a similar sentiment, another Instagram user wrote: "It's giving alien superstar vibes."

While someone else called the look 'unreal'.

Another said that while their 'phobia was triggered', they couldn't 'deny the artistic execution'.

And this is not the first time the rapper has experimented in pushing the boat out with her fashion choices.

Some of which included a head-to-toe gold Paris Fashion Week look which many criticised, yet the 'Kiss Me More' singer hit-back with a brilliant response.

"I wasn't trying to look sexy or attractive," she posted to Twitter.

"All of my makeup has a story and there are absolutely 0 rules and if there were you wouldn't be the one making them.

"People need to realise that not everything is meant to sexy or have sex appeal," she concluded.
