Doja Cat is being called out for how she dealt with an interaction with Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp, after the actor leaked a private conversation between the pair on social media.
The 26-year-old musician slid into 17-year-old Noah’s Instagram DMs to share her crush on his co-star Joseph Quinn, who plays Eddie Munson in the latest series of the Netflix show.
Reaching out to Noah, the Kiss Me More singer wrote: “Noah can you tell Joseph to hmu [hit me up]?” and “Wait no. Does he have a girlfriend?”

The Will Byers actor laughed it off and told her to message Quinn directly, before sharing a screenshot of the exchange with his 26 million followers on TikTok.
He quickly deleted the post, but Doja Cat later criticised the teenager in an Instagram live, calling the move 'borderline snake' behaviour. You can watch her reaction below:
She said: “The Noah Schnapp thing. To be fair, this is like a kid. When you’re that young, you make mistakes. You do dumb s**t. You say dumb s**t. You f**k up relationships with people.”
She added that Schnapp posting 'a private conversation' made him 'so unbelievably socially unaware and whack'.

She went on: “You know what I mean? That’s like borderline snake s**t. That’s like weasel s**t."
The star added that it felt like 'a weird power play' and that she had already talked to him about it.
Many fans seemed unimpressed with the star going after a teenager, flooding to the comments section of her latest TikTok to share their thoughts.
“Leave Noah alone,” wrote one user. " UR GETTING MAD AT A KID,” added another.

One TikTok user, King Asante, posted a recap of the 'messy' debacle, where several commenters said Doja got excessively upset, while others were keen to point out that it was a joke.
“She’s asking a 17-year-old ‘stranger’ to play matchmaker,” wrote one user.

“Now why u callin Noah a snake lmaoo extra for no reason,” said a different comment.
“He’s literally a 17-year-old kid, I’m sure Joseph wouldn’t of cared. And not only that I wonder what impression Joseph has of her now,” added another.
Seeming to address the drama in a tweet on Friday, Doja added: “Y’all are so cringe and lame and nobody wants to hang w u that’s why y’all be on here unironically writing replies to s**t that makes you mad.”
