Cher and her 36-year-old boyfriend split after six months of dating

Hopefully she believes in life after love, because Cher has broken up with her far younger lover Alexander“ Edwards.
Cher, 76, confirmed she was happily dating 36-year-old music producer Alexander Edwards in November, having posted a snap of her new beau on Twitter.
But now it seems the couple has wound up in splitsville.
TMZ, Page Six, and E! Online have reported that the music icon and her rapper boyfriend called it quits a number of weeks ago.

The reason for their break-up has not been disclosed, however E! reports the split was an amicable one.
The duo sparked engagement rumors at Christmas by posting a photo of a very fancy diamond ring, saying she has ‘no words’ for her beau, who was 40 years her junior.
Now Cher has fuelled speculation that the pair got engaged at Christmas, posting a photo of a diamond ring on social media yesterday (25 December).
“THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E,” she said.
While the star did not reveal the story behind the ring, many people took it as a hint towards an engagement.
It is now understood that the couple were never engaged, but instead merely leant into the speculation surrounding their relationship.
Cher was previously married to Sonny Bono until 1975, later tying the knot with Gregg Allman before divorcing in 1979.
Edwards is the vice president of A&R at the Def Jam Recordings, which boasts a roster of musicians including Rihanna, Pusha T, Nas, Public Enemy and Justin Bieber.

He was previously in a relationship with model and SlutWalk activist Amber Rose, with whom he shares three-year-old son Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.
Cher has previously stated they first met during Paris Fashion Week in October.
While many fans expressed their excitement for their favorite singer and actor and her new relationship, others were slightly more concerned.
Despite their 40-year age gap, Cher vehemently defended the pairing, writing on Twitter last month: “As we All Know …I WASN'T BORN YESTERDAY, & What I Know For Sure… There Are No Guarantees. Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance. I’ve Always Taken Chances… It’s WHO I Am.”
When another expressed their concerns for Alexander’s ‘motives and intentions’, Cher hit back: “Haven’t you got anything else 2 do? Let me explain... I don’t give a f**k what anyone thinks.”
Cher was approached for comment.
