Rapper Cardi B gave a relationship update to her fans in her latest Instagram live session and explained that she has been 'single for a minute'.
Cardi B married rapper Offset in 2017 but has confirmed to fans that the pair are no longer together.
Speaking on Instagram live on late Sunday she confirmed that she has at least been single for a while. It is not clear if the pair are still legally married.

She told her fans that she was not aware of how best to break the news to the world and was curious whether fans had begun to work it out recently.
“I don’t know if you guys have been getting clues from me from my [Instagram] lives or from my stories when I put on certain music,” she said in the clip.
She continued: “I have been single for a minute now but i have been afraid... not afraid I just don’t know how to tell the world.
“But I feel like today has been like a sign. The last time i got on live i kind of wanted to tell you guys but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind.
“But it has been like this for a minute now, I just took it as a sign. I want to start 2024 fresh and open. I don’t know I’m curious for a new life, a new beginning and yeah I am excited.”
While speaking, her fans continued to reply with encouraging and supportive messages.
The former couple share two children together and in recent weeks rumors have circulated on social media about their now-confirmed separation.
Last week, on her Instagram story, Cardi had posted seemingly cryptic messages alluding to the pair breaking up.
In one post she wrote: “You know when you just outgrow a relationship.”
In another she wrote: “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings. I gotta put myself first.
Social media sleuths also discovered that Offset and Cardi B had stopped following one another on Instagram. Offset had also shared a scene from Scarface about not being able to trust people, to his own story.
Outside of Cardi B’s fan group, social media users have been reacting to the news.
With some hoping the pair can reconcile any differences they have and others suggesting they believed it was only a matter of time before the two split.
