Ben Affleck becomes a meme with his bored expression at the Grammys

Ben Affleck has been given the meme treatment after he appeared to be feeling particularly bored during the Grammy Awards tonight.

Affleck was sat next to his wife Jennifer Lopez, who presented the award for Best Pop Vocal Album to winner Harry Styles, during tonight's event.

JLo was dressed to kill for the occasion in a navy-coloured Gucci gown, while Affleck looked smart in a black suit and tie.

However, viewers reckoned that Affleck’s heart wasn’t really in it and that he looked to be pretty unimpressed with the whole thing.

At one point, the couple could be seen on their feet as Stevie Wonder played 'Higher Ground', with JLo moving around energetically in time to the music, whereas Affleck had a more sedate attitude to the performance and could be seen barely nodding his head along.

Of course, it wasn’t long before poor Affleck became a meme, with viewers finding his bored expression hilarious.

One person wrote: “I'd pay for an alternate Grammy broadcast that's just a livestream of Ben Affleck and J. Lo's table.”

Another said: “Cracking UP that this was Ben Affleck’s reaction to being at Jennifer Lopez’s side at the #Grammys watching Stevie Wonder and Chris Stapleton tear the roof off the place with their rendition of Higher Ground. He looks like someone just told him his dog died, come on man.”

A third commented: “Ben Affleck at the Grammys is me any time I have to be on a Zoom call.”

While someone else said: “Someone get Ben Affleck a cigarette and a Dunkin’ coffee stat.”

“However bad of a day you’re having, I promise you’re not as miserable as Ben Affleck at the Grammys right now,” wrote another viewer.

Affleck and Lopez got hitched in July last year, with court documents showing JLo had opted to take her new husband’s name making her, legally, Jennifer Affleck. JAff? Doesn’t have the same ring to it somehow.

In a newsletter to her fans at the time, the new Mrs Affleck said: "We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient.

"Twenty years patient… Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things-and worth waiting for.”

Their marriage came after a rather lengthy and unusual relationship, with the pair first getting engaged back in 2002.

They later split and both went on to marry other people, before divorcing their respective spouses and since having ended up back together and happily married.

Let's hope he enjoyed the wedding more than he seemingly did the Grammys.
