Mom finds daughter on Roblox and asks her if she can defrost lasagna

The mom decided to enlist the help of Roblox after her daughter failed to answer the phone

A tech-savvy mom decided to hop on Roblox to remind her daughter to take dinner out of the freezer after the youngster failed to answer the phone.

We’ve all been there as a kid - promised a parent we’d make sure something was taken from the freezer to defrost in time for dinner only to get distracted after school and forget all about it until you hear the sound of their car pulling up in the drive, sending you into a wild panic.

Well, mom Cha-Cha Watson was not about to let that happen to her 11-year-old daughter, Miracle and decided to enlist the help of Roblox to ensure the food wouldn’t be forgotten about in the freezer.

Watson, from Chicago, told TODAY that she had initially tried to call her daughter to tell her to take out lasagne and garlic bread from the freezer but got no answer - little surprise when you consider that answering the phone would boot Miracle out of Roblox.

So, Watson decided to meet up with her daughter in the game to tell her instead.

Although Roblox consists of a huge world, Watson and her daughter had been playing the game online together for more than a year, meaning she was easily able to find Miracle’s avatar.

The genius mom told TODAY: "She just so happens to be in the beginning stage when you first pop up on the game. So when I popped up, she just so happened to pull up.”

"At this point, Watson hopped in the same car as her daughter - leaving her no chance of escape.

She added: "And I said, 'You see me calling you!' and then she was like, 'I'm sorry mom.'"

Watson then told her daughter to take the lasagne and garlic bread from the freezer, which she did - and Watson knew she did as the car she had been driving stopped momentarily while she dashed off.

Watson, who is a comedian, said she had no intention of going viral with her post but had simply wanted ‘people to see what I go through to get in touch with my child’.

However, she also recommended to other parents of similarly-aged children to get into Roblox, too.

She added: "Being a single parent, you just want to make sure that you're spending time with your kids. That's really important to me - to make sure I'm spending quality time with her.

"So I downloaded Roblox and... that was just one of the best things ever."
