Nostradamus has made a terrifying prediction for the year ahead.
Dubbed the 'Living Nostradamus' after accurately calling both the death of the UK's Queen Elizabeth II and the Covid pandemic, Brazilian soothsayer Athos Salomé has revealed that the world can expect even more upheavals ahead - after an already tumultuous and difficult year - or 10.
In his new list of predictions, Salomé identified for Tyla two vast areas of the globe that will become new battlegrounds for proxy wars between the West and its enemies, adding to the ongoing wars in Ukraine, Sudan, and the Congo.
Pushing up the threat of a global conflict that could become World War Three, this 'living Nostradamus' has divined that two barely-inhabited regions of the Earth will fall into full-scale war in 2026, the Sahel and the Arctic.

For the uninitiated, the Sahel is a geographical region of the Africa that constitutes a horizontal strip across the middle of the continent, marking the boundary between the savannas of the south and the Sahara desert that spans the north.
This year alone has seen a boom in terrorist activity across the Sahel, which has been described previously as the epicentre of terrorism, with over 30 per cent of all terror incidents taking place in this region.
Countries making up this region include Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, Sudan, Eritrea, and The Gambia - all of which face regular threats from Al Qaeda and ISIS affiliated groups which call the Sahel their home.

With Western forces pulling out in recent times, with French and American troops no longer backing local security forces in these countries, the situation in the Sahel is expected to deteriorate further.
In the past few months, this has seen hundreds of schoolchildren kidnapped from their education establishments by armed gunmen, who demand ransoms for their return. These are often paid by parents despite official advice, as local governments struggle to maintain security in areas around the Sahel.
The 'Living Nostradamus' predicted: "With the rise of extremist groups in northern regions of Niger, I believes that the area could become a scene of indirect confrontation between nations seeking to preserve their influence after the departure of Western troops."

As if this chilling prediction of a continent torn in two is not terrifying enough, Salomé also predicted a development that could bring the world's Great Powers into conflict, as Russia, China, and the US battle it out over strategic resources and market access.
But this new conflict could begin in an unlikely place, the Arctic circle, where both Russia and NATO-allied countries have been developing their military capabilities since the outbreak of war in Ukraine.
This was accelerated when Finland and Sweden joined the defensive alliance due to the warmongering of Russia, which has expanded its Northern Fleet, while moving some of its offensive capacity within the Arctic circle, to take advantage of better access resulting from global warming.
This has opened new shipping routes for both global commerce and international navies, something that could come to a head in the first half of 2026.

Salomé predicted: "The most recent interceptions indicate that Russia is moving missile systems to strategic areas in the Arctic.
"This increases the likelihood of direct confrontations with NATO during the ice melt in 2026 - a time when new shipping routes and energy reserves could play a crucial role."

But it would not be a true prediction if the cosmos did not get to have its say. While war brews on Earth, 'Living Nostradamus' predicts that the heavens above will be in disarray.

According to the Brazilian soothsayer, we can all expect mass disruption and power outages should a huge solar storm come to pass.
Salomé added: "Recent information indicates that coronal mass ejections directed at Earth will occur between 12 and 15 March 2026. The possibility of large-scale power outages is real, especially in more susceptible electrical systems, but nothing concrete."
In addition to these power outages, an all too familiar threat is also hanging over our heads next year, a deadly new disease that could rapidly spread around the world and throw our lives into chaos.
H5N5, a variant of bird flu currently tearing through US bird and cattle populations, claimed its first every human life last month, sparking fears that the disease could start spreading to humans as it continues to ravage animal populations around the world.

The 'Living Nostradamus' did not state that we can expect another pandemic.
Instead he warned that: "Global monitoring needs to be strengthened, especially considering that the EU is rushing to authorise a modified mRNA vaccine," if we want to avoid another worldwide catastrophe.
