Donald Trump has said he's not happy with the amount of 'bulls***' he's getting from Vladimir Putin amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.
During the presidential election, Trump said he would end the war in Ukraine within his first 24 hours back in office, but it's certainly been a lot more complicated than that.
Amid a tense bust-up between Trump and Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office, the US even temporarily withdrew military aid to the war-torn country.

Trump has more recently been critical of Putin after numerous phone calls with the Russian leader since he returned to office.
The 47th POTUS spoke to press after a cabinet meeting on Tuesday (July 8) and expressed his anger at Putin with Russian and Ukrainian soldiers dying in their thousands.

"I'm not happy with Putin. I can tell you that much right now," Trump said. "We get a lot of bulls*** thrown at us by Putin ... He's very nice all the time, but it turns out to be meaningless."

Trump went on to say he is 'very strongly' considering a Senate bill that will impose further sanctions on Russia because of the war.
Meanwhile, the president confirmed on Monday (July 7) that the US would be sending more weapons to Ukraine to help aid them in their war efforts.
"We're sending some defensive weapons to Ukraine, and I've approved that," Trump said to press on Tuesday.
Reacting to that, President Zelenskyy said: "We currently have all the necessary political statements and decisions and we must implement them as quickly as possible to protect our people and positions.

"These are critical deliveries that mean saving lives and protecting Ukrainian cities and villages. I expect results from these contacts very soon. And this week, we are preparing formats for meetings of our military and political teams."

Trump spoke about Putin to the press last month after the US launched missile strikes at numerous nuclear sites in Iran.
The Republican president explained that Putin had offered him 'help with Iran' as Trump boarded Air Force One to the Nato submit in The Netherlands.

Trump explained: "I'd like to see a deal with Russia... Vladimir called me up he said, 'can I help you with Iran?' I said 'no I don't need help with Iran, I need help with you'. I hope we're going to be getting a deal done with Russia."
