A 70-year-old mother has asked for help after her children threatened to sue her to get their hands on her inheritance.
The mum-of-three said that she was looking to sell her home and downsize now that her children had grown up and flown the nest - explaining that she also hoped to free up some cash in case she needed money to cover medical expenses in the future.
However, when her children discovered that she was putting the property on the market they threw a ādisgusting tantrumā and accused her of trying to ādestroy their childhood memories and the final memories of their father by selling the family homeā.

The mum, who wrote to the Daily Mailās agony aunt for advice, said her children ādemandedā that she sign over the property to them and that they will rent it out - so she can use the money it brings in to live off.
But the woman refused and is adamant she wants to move on as being in the house is a āconstant reminderā of her late husband.
After telling the kids it was a firm no, they hit back by saying they had enlisted the services of lawyer to try and ālegally stopā her from selling up.

āThey claim itās their inheritance and that Iām trying to keep the money away from them,ā she wrote.
āThe last thing I wanted at this point in my life was to get involved in some horrendous family feud. Iām absolutely disgusted by their behaviour and canāt get over how selfish theyāre being.ā
The devastated widow went on to say that her late husband would be āfuriousā over the behavior of their children.
And, although she doesnāt want to, sheās considering giving in to them so she can ālive in peace without the threat of a lawsuitā from her own offspring.

Agony aunt Jane Green sympathised with the woman over the āhorribleā situation he was in.
But suggested there could be a solution that left all parties happy, by either selling the property to the kids or by offering to āhelp āfinanceā their purchasing of the house in return for a monthly stipend enabling you to liveā.
However, she went on to say that while such options may help solve one problem, they donāt tackle the āemotional traumaā she's been through.

Summing up, Jane told the mum to ābring in some experts, look at the optionsā and ābring your children into those conversations and meetings so they can be a part of you all working this outā.
