We've All Been Saying Tove Lo's Name Wrong For Years

Fans are losing it over Tove Lo's revelation as to how to truly pronounce her name.
Many of us may struggle to get the exact spelling of the name we stated for our Starbucks coffee, but Tove Lo has had to face mispronunciation of her name her whole career.
The 34-year-old Swedish singer-songwriter has since taken to Instagram to address fans on how to properly pronounce her name. Take a look below:

The 'Habits' singer addressed fans while all ready in makeup and an outfit for a performance.
She said: "Alright, it's time that i addressed this. my name, how to pronounce it. The Swedish way is Tove lo, Tove Lo.
"The international way that I embraced is Tove Lo. So you can think of it as Voulez Vous, Tove Lo. Voulez Vous, Tove Lo. Voulez Vous, Tove Lo.
"[..] So that's that. But i will still answer to Tove Lo. I say sometimes to make sure that people know what the f**k I'm talking about, me. But you know, keep the discussions going, it's interesting."

Fans of the musician have since flooded to Twitter in surprise over the pronunciation.
"You could give me 100 tries to pronounce Tove Lo and I would NOT get this," one said while another wrote: "I’ve just found out how Tove Lo is pronounced. My whole life has been a lie."
"Was anyone else completely thrown that Tove Lo is actually pronounced like, Toovay Loo?" a third said.

Another user pointed out how 'wild' it was to 'see everyone refuse to pronounce a white person's name the right way for once'.
However, Tove Lo responded to one fan's replies by commenting: "This is not news."

Fifty Shades Darker also featured a song she co-wrote and performed titled 'Lies in the Dark'.
Tove Lo co-wrote Ellie Goulding's 'Still Falling For You' which featured on Bridget Jones' Baby released in 2016.
She has collaborated on songs with the likes of British DJ Jax Jones, Australian singer Kylie Minogue and English singer Charli XCX.
