A mom has been accused of trying to hire a hitman on a parody website in an attempt to kill her three-year-old son.

Jazmin Paez, 18, from Miami, has been charged with first-degree solicitation of murder and third-degree using a communications device for unlawful use, according to court documents.

Miami-Dade police say there were contacted by a man on Tuesday (18 July) who operates a fake hire-an-assassin website.

The website, known as RentAHitman.com, was created to catch those who are looking to hire a killer, according to police.

He reported that a woman had contacted the site to arrange a murder-for-hire for the young child. After the request, police say the woman provided the address for the child and a picture.

Investigators added that the woman asked for the job to be completed by Thursday (20 July) at the latest.

As per the police report, officials tracked the IP of the computer that is said to have been used to make the request for the hitman, and it was eventually traced back to the woman.

The report adds the police went to the address and spoke to the child's grandmother, who later identified the child. Thankfully, the boy was found safe and well at the residence by police.

In an attempt to arrest the woman, investigators posed as the hired hitman and initiated a conversation with the woman.

The woman subsequently confirmed the request and allegedly offered to pay $3,000 for the murder.

Police went round to her house and arrested her, with investigators not commenting on the motive behind the alleged request.

The woman has since been charged by police.

Once in her home, police say the murder-for-hire website was still on her computer browser.

Paez is currently being held in Miami-Dade jail, with it being unclear if she will be granted bail.

The news comes after a similar story where a woman allegedly tried to hire a hitman to kill the wife of a man she met on a dating site.

It's claimed that Melody Sasser used a website called Online Killers Market to find someone willing to murder rival Jennifer Wallace.

In court documents seen by the Daily Mail, it's alleged she placed the order back in January this year, paying $9,750 in Bitcoin upfront.
