A school shooter livestreamed his movements before firing in the cafeteria and killing a 16-year-old girl.

On Wednesday (January 22), Josselin Corea Escalante was the only victim of the Nashville, Tennessee, school shooting as 17-year-old Solomon Henderson unleashed 17 seconds of hell on the students and staff at Antioch High School.

Shortly after 11am, the killer walked into the cafeteria and fire 10 shots at pupils before taking his own life.

Now, Metro Nashville Police are attempting to piece together what happened and his motives.

Henderson took to the streaming platform Kick to livestream himself while he was in the school as he prepared for the shooting.

Sadly, the AI gun detection software, called Omnilert, that is rolled out in all Metro Nashville Public Schools failed to flag that Henderson was equipped with a gun, officials confirmed yesterday (January 23).

This was because Henderson wasn't close enough for the cameras to give an accurate reading to detect whether or not he had a gun on him.

Taking to Kick, Henderson posted a photo on his account, that has since been banned, which read: "You already failed to stop what’s happening.”

Kick has issued the following statement: "On January 22, an attack occurred in Nashville, Tennessee, and was partially livestreamed. We extend our thoughts to everyone impacted by this event.

"KICK rapidly banned the account and removed the video. Violence has no place on KICK. We are actively working with law enforcement and taking all appropriate steps to support their investigation."

His social media accounts revealed that Henderson was racist and antisemitic.

It is also understood that Henderson created two lengthy documents, one being 51 pages while the other is 288.

Speaking yesterday (January 23), Metro Nashville Police said: “It is clear that Henderson was significantly influenced by web-based material, especially that found on non-traditional sites that most would find harmful and objectionable.

“The FBI is working closely with the MNPD in the ideological influences portion of this investigation.”

While the force released a statement on Wednesday (January 22), that read in part: "Homicide Unit detectives along with their law enforcement partners in the MNPD and federal/state agencies are examining very concerning on-line writings and social media posts connected to 17-year-old Solomon Henderson as they work to establish the motive behind Henderson’s gunfire this morning in Antioch High School’s cafeteria.

"Sixteen-year-old Josselin Corea Escalante was fatally wounded. A 17-year-old male student was grazed in the arm. He has been treated and released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Henderson died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

"The investigation to this point has not established a connection between Henderson and the two shooting victims. It may be that they were struck by his random gunfire in the cafeteria.

"The two school resource officers assigned to Antioch High School were in another part of the building when the gunfire started. They rushed to the cafeteria and arrived just after Henderson killed himself."
